The good and the bad
I'm on 2L at rest, 8L active. So I can't use it all of the time. It would be better if it did do 8L. For car charging, Inogen Rove 6 want 30AMP, whereas most cars are at most 20AMP. I used mine in a car for months (Once a week, Continuous charging for 2+ hours?), before it burnt out the plug, requiring me to shell out close to $900 - replacing the plug, which included getting a rental car for the few days it was in the shop. However, because of my 8L requirement for active, Medicare would no longer provide me with an Inogen. That meant using Liquid Oxygen in my car and while at rest - which was ridiculous in my mind. I opted to outright buy my own Inogen Rove 6 for car travel, and at rest.
