They ALWAYS get the order wrong. Missing items, different items than we ordered, and they even put a "quality control" sticker on the box to say it was checked. A joke!! I'm giving up on this company, I never get what I order.

I don't know who is rating this company so poorly, but y'all... They're attentive as all get out! I genuinely think nobody speaks up about their issues, because THE MINUTE I mention a concern, it's immediately solved the next shipment & I'm honestly in awe of them as a company! I sincerely hope it's not just my area because I'm moving soon! Haha Anywho, at least in Santa Barbara county, this company is perfectly efficient & I get SO excited for my shipment every week! Thank you guys for being so amazing & for introducing me to some of THE coolest & most sustainable brands out there. Keep rockin it!

it was convenient for pandemic but i think it’s a scam. their adds say “support a good cause” but that is just greenwashing bs..marketing plot preying on ppl. their produce was ok, lacking & the other food was stale, moldy three times, small and squished or smashed (bread, eggs, tortillas, bent/broken) as they just throw stuff in boxes they take business away from ACTUAL good causes : ie: organic farm CSA’s & their goal is clearly $$$. ps, the misfit sausage they sold caused me horrible pain (& i tried it three times before figuring it out) the shrimp was questionable the cheese was moldy

I have been using Imperfect for over 3 years in the Los Angeles area so I’ve definitely seen the change. Back in 2017 and 2018 they were very communicative- sent email reminders to update your order, alerted you to changes in your order, sent newsletters, etc. Now for the last 2 years or so I get none of those emails so I have to contact them when I have an issue. At least I get a text to update my box. I’m on a biweekly schedule and tend to skip so I get once a month. Issues are rare for me. If I had an issue every delivery, I wouldn’t tolerate it so I understand some people’s pain points. I have pointed out to them that produce is sometimes closer to spoilage so they can’t charge as much as they do for those items. I never got the box as a substitute for going to the grocery store. I wanted to reduce waste and get some misshaped produce as they boasted about but most of my stuff was normal just on the smaller side. Now I order for harder to find products like a particular bread that is normally $3 more and not available in local stores and I like trying vegan and new items

i have never been this unhappy with any company. i was browsing the site and adding things to my cart to come back to then the next day i see a charge of $111 in my bank account. i called immediately and told CS that i did not place an order and i do not want any of it. i was told "unfortunately its way too late to cancel". i simply dont understand how it can be too late to cancel an order i never placed. i was on the phone with them for 15 minutes and the best he could do was refund $50. certainly better than nothing but now i am receiving $111 worth of food that I dont want and am still paying for it when i never authorized the charge.

I committed to giving this a try for at least four weeks. It was so bad, I cancelled after two. The produce I received was so small, it should have been described as extra small. The prices for what I was getting produce wise were way too expensive. I considered keeping it for the other items, but I was not saving enough over all to justify the $5 delivery. I also tried to meal plan with the order I selected, but received different items than I ordered. I paid $2 for three small avacados (all three together fit INSIDE the palm of my hand). I paid $3 for four cucumbers that all fit in my hand. Paid a $1 for a mango that was SMALLER than the palm of my hand. I paid $2 for one very small broccoli crown. Paid $2 for a spaghetti squash that was barely bigger than the palm. I paid $8.99 for 12oz of premium ground lamb, but received 12oz of ground sweet Italian pork.

First let me state that some of the skeptics that will read my review MAY think or put in writing that I must be a current employee or related to an employee perhaps even have some interest in the company itself. I do not. I am a senior citizen who lives at the farthest point in the PNW that they still manage to find me to deliver my weekly order box right to my door. Its hard to find good healthy organic foods that I can afford on a small social security and no pension. I am also a person with serious health conditions, and the opportunity to buy a better quality of food at a fair price is very surprising to me. UPDATED: I am revising my review since now I have been buying from Imperfect foods now for a longer time frame. I am still not only enjoying the wonderful choices (some things are a bit harder to get because the company may not get that product each week, or they may have a more limited amount of a particular item..but there is always then the opportunity to try another of of their choices. I am doing a lot of healthier choices now...I am cooking more....and my energy level is improving because I now can afford to eat better both produce and meat, dairy ... sea food..poultry. My favorite is the ground bison, yum! Whether I order the bison or the regular hamburger the one thing I noted right away was there was NO water that was infused into the ground meat so that I looked like I was getting more meat then was actually in the package..a trick the grocery stores often us. When I cook it it doesn't get watery but stays the portion and frys up nicely...same with the organic chicken its has excellent flavor. While once in a while I still have a few tiny clitches I am so happy in general with the experience I remind myself that no one company is going to be without a bit of an issue, the difference lays in the companies response when I notify them I have maybe a tangerine or two that's a bit soft (just an example I haven't found one yet..,) This week I tried their orange cranberry scones so that a cup of something warm in the mornings sitting out on the deck would be great with something yummy. I highly recommend this company...I am very pleased with their whole mission statement to reduce food waste but still provide a great product to their clients, and they have met and surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend Imperfect Foods for every household and enjoy eating well and feeling better.

Boxes frequently missing multiple items. Boxes often delivered to wrong address and we just get refunded and an apology but no improvement (2-3 times this past year) Fruit inside boxes is a joke so we tended to stick with vegetables. Waiting on the delivery and getting that text to find out that our box is not there, we're missing half our order, or opening it up to find items missing just won't cut it for us anymore. We are done with this company and incredibly disappointed as we felt that we gave them so many chances.
