I can deal with missing items, or things I didn't order showing up in my box. I can even deal with the occasional late order. But today I got my order, and it was not delivered to my door like it normally is. Instead, it was thrown over a 10 foot fence into an area of a courtyard that is almost impossible to get access to without issue. Almost everything was ruined, which means I have to throw most of it away, and I still now have to go to the grocery store to get the items I had been counting on from them. I signed up because I thought it would be convenient, but it's realy just causing me more issues.

I was so excited about this service…
I was so excited about this service however, when my 1st order was delivered I was missing over half, when I contacted them they told me there was another box and they can refund me, 1st order was 105 bucks , than before receiving a response I received another box, cost me 80 bucks, box was messed up, and the cooler things were busted all over my food, and all they off is a one time refund of 25 bucks. Some of my food was smashed and not really in eating condition and I also received items I would never buy.

Directions not followed
I know getting food it’s not supposed to be perfect but some of it was just unedible. For example the avocados were hard and unedible and the limes had no juice. Also some of the squash was small and not good, not even wipe. On many occasions I ordered eggs and some of the eggs were broken and would make a mess in my house. The salmon was pretty good but some of the other fish is not. In fact the some of the fish that wasn’t frozen or even vacuum sealed. This company does not follow instructions where to put my food when leaving it on my doorstep. Anyone could drive by my house and see that big box on my doorstep and there are porch Pirates in my neighborhood and I’ve just been lucky that no one has taken it yet. My directions were very clear and I had called and complained three times on the fourth time I canceled. I would not order from here. If you have Amazon try to order from their fresh menu. The customer service is outstanding. The concept of this company is great but their customer service is so poor that I don’t see how they are going to stay in business. Don’t waste your time don’t try it now maybe try it in a year if they still exist.

Poor quality… poor packaging…fed ex…
Poor quality… poor packaging…fed ex refuses to deliver to my apartment front door…missing items..wrecked items.. meat juice all over food..
I canceled. I could get better food at the local food bank and pay nothing. Meat was tough as nails..you buy the same old stuff.. no good variety of produce.. when I started there were lots of options.. not any more.
Just crappy stuff.

I’m giving 2 stars because I have at…
I’m giving 2 stars because I have at some point received some good produce. I don’t mind foods that are irregularly sized or “ugly,” but every box I received did have food that was rotten by the time it reached me, completely smashed in shipping, or otherwise had to be thrown away immediately. I’m talking cucumbers and zucchini in big chunks because there may also have been a jug of milk or glass bottle of oil in the package. I stopped ordering berries because they’d always be open and mashed all over the other foods. Also 4 days for food to be in transit is a long time. The meat was often no longer cold and the ice pack melted. They only use one size box, so if you have a smaller order all that good is just flying around in a large box being smashed up by fedex. The company was pretty good about refunds until my last shipment. They must have changed a policy because normally they add items to your box and then you have from Fri-Sun to make changes and get to the minimum shipping cost. If I did nothing, the box wouldn’t ship because it didn’t meet the minimum dollar amount for shipping. Well they gave me a $10 refund for rotten food I had received and took it upon themselves to apply it to an order to make the min shipment required. I ended up with a bunch of food I would never have picked in the first place. I stopped using them after that. They have a good concept but it just isn’t working.

Could be great but it's just not
I love this concept. I do not mind using "ugly" or odd sized produce and the fact that perfectly edible foods go to waste is a problem that needs a solution. Imperfect Foods just does not quit hit the mark. There are some positives: 1. Delivery is reliable and my items arrive at good temps. 2. Their Customer Support staff is always kind and helpful. Unfortunately the negatives can outweigh the positives. I have had items missing from nearly 85% if my orders. I have received items that were not imperfect but were very near inedible due to age or condition (very, very moldy mushrooms, soft mushy cucumbers and broken eggs). My biggest issue is that this is supposed to be way to safe money, save time and save resources. However if I order and plan my next week's meals based on what I order and I then have to rearrange my plans and make a special trip or pay for a delivery of a missing item, I am not really saving anything. They do have some great self branded products and I have not yet closed my account, but I now have an expectation of disappointment when my box arrives and that is not way to make a customer feel. They are nearly there, they just need some quality control in the packing room.

Half the time it's missing other half it's rotten
How can this be about food waste when half the food is never delivered and the other half is moldy or rotten within days of arriving. There is no fiscal benefit to ordering from this company. You do NOT save money with them. The annoyance of never receiving what you ordered is enough to make me cancel. Also gotta love how they can charge you extravagant amounts but it takes weeks for the correct amount to be credited back to you when you never receive the products you pay for.
This company is all "green" hype with no substance. This is just a marketing tactic to get gullible hippies to think they're doing something.

We're so sorry to hear about your experience with us, and for our delay in getting back to you! Although our groceries have imperfections, they should never be rotten or moldy. We never want you to pay for something you couldn't enjoy, so please reach out to our customer care team if you haven't already so we can make things right: bit.ly/2FYqBdx

They care a great deal about their customers
I gave this service 4 weekly deliveries before I rated.
Week 1 - I got exactly what I ordered plus a bunch of flowers as a welcome gift
Week 2 - A few items were missing - this is annoying because I meal plan, but they were very responsive and issued a credit for the missing items
Week 3 - Was notified that the order was delivered but it was missing. Customer service was prompt and they offered me a full refund (I found out a few days later it had been delivered to my neighbors home, and when they got back into town, they gave it to us, I let IF know and they updated their delivery team to make sure that it was delivered to the right location in the future. )
Week 4: Delivery instructions weren't followed, but the order was delivered to our home and we got what we ordered.
Pros:
- They do have quite a few options, especially common product items that I buy every week (lemons, carrots, etc)
- Their customer service is prompt, courteous, and wants to make sure people feel taken care of - this goes a long way in my opinion
- Their prices are great for organic food, I save quite a bit of money each week
- They take back the insulation material and freezer packs each week so you don't waste as much as other food delivery services
- Most produce is not wrapped in plastic which makes me happy
- I sometimes get things I don't normally buy, which is a chance to be adventurous and prepare something new
Cons:
- I imagine inventory management can be pretty difficult, so there might be times your items don't show up, which is disappointing if you meal plan
- This really won't replace a regular grocery store visit. There are some things they never seem to offer (bananas for example), but it is a nice top-up on produce mid-week that might make your trips to the store shorter and less frequent
- For packaged goods, there are a pretty limited number of brands that they offer so you may not find your favorites, or maybe you'll find a new favorite!
Overall, I enjoy the convenience of shopping from my computer and getting fresh organic produce. Some of it is a bit wilty or bruised, but with the exception of one mango, everything has been edible. We like to juice and make smoothies, so aesthetics don't really matter too much.
