Willing to take money from remote clients but impossible to withdraw. And then conveniently also impossible to reach - I am not on hour 3 of trying to get a human on the phone. Good promos, apparently, but NOT WORTH THE FRUSTRATION.

Huntington treating us like we did something wrong.
Been with Huntington for many years, since the TCF merge. We have $200K with this bank. We opened a Fidelity investment account. Went through the process to verify the Fidelity account, micro deposits were sent to Fidelity, micro deposits were confirmed on the Huntington site, Huntington said we were good to go. Tried a test transfer to Fidelity of $1K from checking on a Thursday. The following Monday, received an email from Huntington saying they stopped the transfer and suspended all access to the Fidelity account. They also locked us out of all online banking, without notifying us. We called customer service and they said you have to visit a branch. We visited the branch and spoke with our usual branch manager. He called the higher ups to get our Fidelity access reinstated and our online banking reinstated. They told him our online banking will be suspended for 30-days. We are in limbo at this point. We are not waiting 30-days. I told the branch manager if this is not corrected, we will withdraw all of our funds and move to another bank. Huntington is costing us money by delaying the transfer to an investment account.

My account was hacked on june 1
My account was hacked on june 1. I did everything I was supposed to and yet they still have not put my money back. It is blatantly obvious that my account was hacked they are telling me that it will take up to 10 days to gety money back and they are talking business days. I am a severely disabled senior and they stole my check the day it went into the bank. I just got off the phone with them and the supervisor told me since I have called everyday my dispute will take longer. I asked if she meant I pissed them off so they will push it back and she said'yeah, something like that".
Wow, that is ridiculous. Take my advice and don't entrust your money with them. If someone hacks you they have and will use 10 days to refund your money no matter what the evidence is

I opened a Huntington Bank account…
I opened a Huntington Bank account online and changed my direct deposit to the new account. As soon as my paycheck was deposited, I was locked out of the account without any warning or explanation.
When I called customer service, I was told the account was “under review,” but no one could tell me why, how long the review would take, or what I needed to do to resolve it. I requested a supervisor and spent over 30 minutes on hold without receiving any meaningful assistance.
The only solution Huntington offered was for me to visit a branch. The problem is that the nearest branch is approximately 5 hours from my home. I find it unreasonable that Huntington allows customers to open accounts online, accepts direct deposits, and then requires an in-person visit without offering any alternative way to verify identity or regain access to funds.
At the time of this review, my payroll funds are still inaccessible, and I have received no clear explanation, timeline, or resolution. My experience has been extremely frustrating due to the lack of communication and customer support.

I would give zero stars if possible
I would give zero stars if possible. I should have known better than to open an account with a bank without checking Trustpilot first.
If you are smart enough to have checked Trustpilot before opening an account and see my review..........DONT OPEN AN ACCOUNT IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE YOU EVER MAKE.
I opened an account for my social security payments because they were offering a bonus. As soon as I received my first payment and tried to transfer funds my account was locked and I was never able to access my money. They have no way to fix this unless you go to a branch.....and there are none within hours of my home. So I was screwed.
Fortunately I am not desperate for the funds. But imagine if like many seniors I live month to month depending on my SS benefits to pay for food and rent?????? Insanity. Disgusting. How the banking authorities where they are headquartered give license to such a bank is mind boggling.
When I told their various staff how outrageous this is all they can do is say yeah. How can anyone working for this bank look themselves in the mirror before they go to work??????

Voice rewards customer service complaint 6-5 730am
Spoke with a female on the Voice Rewards Credit card specialist 800 340 4165.. now it's a priveledge for them to hold my money and Credit. My Credit card summary disappeared from my app. It was as if 2 ships passed in the night. She didn't answer questions. She was vague and passive aggressive. But yet demanding.. June 5th 730am.. Previously Demetrious on same line educated me on why/how my credit card keeps getting breached with fraud charges. This lady today.. should reconsider her career choice.. and should not be in customer service.

Garbage, scam of a bank!
Garbage, scammy bank. They blocked my daughter from using Zelle or making any transfers right as her first rent payment was due. She went back and forth with them for 4 days as representatives pretended they didn't see anything wrong on their end. Finally, one informed her she had to bring proof of account ownership to a branch when she/we live several cities away from one (she was in tears on this call, by now, afraid to lose her apartment). Not only did they block her transfers, but they TWICE neglected to update her mailing address so she could receive and use her debit card, AND they revoked her access to view her debit card numbers online! What a terrible ordeal this has been. Unacceptable, underhanded practices. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Incompetence at its finest
I understand that I made the initial mistake by accidentally mobile depositing my husband’s check into my individual Huntington account instead of our joint account. However, the way this matter has been handled by Huntington has been extremely frustrating and unacceptable. The deposit was flagged for fraud because my husband’s name is not on the account, yet I received no communication from Huntington explaining that there was an issue beyond the letter advising me of a five-day hold. At no point was I informed that additional action would be required on my part. After the five-day hold expired, I contacted customer service and was told that I needed to visit a branch to sign a release form. I confirmed three separate times during that call that I was the person who needed to sign the form, and each time I was told that I was. I then took time off work and went to the branch, only to be told that my husband actually needed to sign because the check was made payable to him, resulting in another day of lost wages. My husband and I then went to the branch on 06/02/2025 and completed the requested release form. The teller advised that she had scanned it to Columbus and indicated that these forms are usually reviewed quickly, with my funds expected to be available no later than midday today. However, when the funds were still not released this afternoon, I called the branch and spoke with the branch manager, who told me there was still a hold on the account. I explained that, according to the letter I received, the five-day hold had already expired and that I had been told the funds would be available today. He then directed me back to customer service. When I called customer service again, I was incorrectly told once more that I needed to sign the release form. I explained that the form had already been signed and sent over the previous day, but the representative could not locate it. Although I never told him which branch I had visited, after placing me on a lengthy hold to speak with his escalation team, he returned and said they had attempted to call the branch but were unable to verify the information. When I asked which branch had been called, since I regularly use three different branches in my area, he could not tell me and was unable to find out. I then requested a supervisor and was told the wait would be 10 to 15 minutes, which I accepted. After finally reaching a supervisor and explaining the entire situation again, I was told that she was not the correct supervisor for the department I needed and was transferred to deposits. After being on the phone for over an hour, I finally spoke with someone named Rose, who reviewed the matter and confirmed that the form had in fact been received and sent to the correct department. However, I was then informed for the first time that this department can take three to five business days to review the information. Throughout this entire experience, I have received inconsistent information from multiple employees, no one has seemed to understand the actual process or turnaround times, and there has been a complete lack of clear communication. This experience has caused unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and lost wages, and it has left me with very little confidence in Huntington’s ability to handle customer issues competently.
