This is a booking site to avoid. They advertise a low price but do not disclose that taxes and daily resort fees will be charged at the time of check-in. After you book and charge the non-refundable amount to your credit card, you receive an email disclosing the amount of extra charges to be paid on check-in, in my case totaling over $120 in taxes and resort fees for a three- night stay. When I called to cancel, within 5 minutes of making the reservation, they went through a charade claiming to have called the hotel and being told that the hotel would not allow the cancellation

Easy to follow - including maps assistance - good rate exposure and full information.

Terrible - they took my money, the hotel had no record of my reservation and Customer Service has been very unresponsive. Around noon on September 29 I called GetaRoom to make a reservation at the Hacienda in LA for that night. When I arrived, the hotel had no record of the reservation and made me pay them directly. Both charges appeared on my credit card. I complained to GetaRoom Customer Service and even sent them copies of my confirmation, the hotel receipt and my credit card statement. They said they'd check with the hotel and claimed the hotel said I was a no-show. I called the hotel directly and talked with the manager (Dan Marbury) who confirmed my stay directly with them and who denied ever getting the GetaRoom confirmation. I have now filed a dispute with my credit card company.

When I filled out the online reservation, I made a few mistakes - like omitting to fill out the state. Instead of highlighting the state and saying something like "oops - you omitted essential fields" a generic error message came up. This error message was confusing and not helpful. By trial and error, I just kept filling out the form and realized that I hadn't filled it out completely, and that the error message was the same each time...What would help is if the form reappeared with the blank fields highlighted along with a more descriptive error message.

They portrayed themselves as you are dealing directly with the hotel itself then you find out after booking they are a third party vendor and nail you with a service fee!!! I paid $40.00 extra for the same room and lost all the points that I would have received. When contacting customer service, within 1 minute of booking I was told there was nothing they could do to help me. Beware and at all costs avoid this scam!!!!

It all worked out well. When I needed to add an extra day to my reservation, it took little time. I did have a little difficult time understanding the representative {he spoke pretty fast with an accent} but we got her done. Overall I was happy with the service. Thanks Much Steve
