With 36 years of repair experience, he was determined to put together a plan that would cover items in the home more comprehensively, allow the use of local contractors, and pay contractors more quickly for completed work. Home Warranty serves as an additional product source to a wide range of businesses including real estate agencies, utility companies, property management, mortgage lending, home inspection, financial planning, residential construction, and independent insurance agencies. We are committed to utilizing trusted, local servicers who can ensure a timely response to customer needs. We pride ourselves on our LIVE call answering during core business hours with two call centers in the U.S. We also provide our customers with active, responsive District Sales Representatives who help agents and companies every step of the way.

Had to pay a $100 deductible for the…
Had to pay a $100 deductible for the guy to raise the feet on my dishwasher. Then use 2 of MY screws to screw into my cabinets. So now the dishwasher door scraps against the trim on my door. He told me I can always get new trim.... $100 for that.. home warranty is definitely not worth purchasing nor what I was expecting when it was sold to me. I get it he did give me 15 minutes of his labor and I gave him 2 of my screws to help, but a $100 deductible for that is highway robbery.

The contractor indicated that the unit was tipped forward a lot and the floor was not level so yes, he leveled the feet and tested the unit. No more leaks. Service companies charge a trip (or diagnostic) fee no matter what so that is calculated into the overall cost. If you are still not happy with the results, you can reach out to our service department for recall service. This contractor has done almost 500 jobs for our clients with no complaints.

Thermostat stopped working
Thermostat stopped working, called Home Warranty and service company. After a quick inspection and a talk with home Warranty agent they agreed to the cost and repair. We paid the repair man and couple days later we were reimbursed.

Thanks for the feedback! We outline the dollar limits in our terms and conditions and strive to be as transparent as possible. We cover 22 items in the home so unfortunately, in order to keep the overall cost of the warranty in an affordable range, we have to put some caps and limits in the coverage. We also allow contractor of choice so sometimes we see a vast range in what contractors charge for the same job.
