HomewardReviews of homeward.com

This was our second home but first time buying with a lender like Homeward. I was amazed at how simple the process was with them. I cannot understate the flexibility it gave my wife and I to find the home we love and to operate on our timeline to sell our first home. The staff we worked with at Homeward was nothing short of amazing. John, Faith, and Jennifer made the entire process seamless and communicated well beyond my expectation. I would definitely use Homeward again in the future and would highly recommend them to others looking for a less stressful home buying/selling experience.

Allied us to get into a home in a very competitive market

Great option to purchase homes using all cash offers in a competitive market. Liked the easy process, transparent pricing and prompt communication with their team. Allowed me to choose rates with an external financier when their own credit team expressed inability to fund a transaction of my size in my state.

The homeward business was very thorough. Homeward approved me and made the offer quick. They were very instructive and showed my status of the loan through the homeward online page. That was nice to see my progress as the home buying process was being conducted. The homeward team kept me the loop with my agent and they’re processing teams. I never felt out of the loop. I appreciated their professionalism. I would use them again!

Very pleased with the buying process with Homeward. Only issue I had was being contact by another homeward point-of-contact telling me I was behind on provide the paperwork multiple times even after I had confirmed with my customer service rep that I had provided all necessary info and informed the other employee she didn't need to be contacting me.

The concept of enabling a buyer to increase the likelihood of winning a bidding war on an excellent home by placing a cash offier is fantastic, but the communication to me as the buyer when there were significant issues with the title company was limited. I realize that Homeward did not want to vilify an individual at a third party whom they selected, but I only heard from my real estate agent about the issues that were happening. I am appreciative that Homeward was willing to adjust my rental amount considering the delays were outside my control. In the end, I own a vacation home I have dreamed about for years, and Homeward enabled me to achieve this.

8/11/2021 - Homeward Customer Service engaged and has taken decisive action. They severed ties with the poor quality closing agent in the Atlanta area, and have made us whole from a financial perspective on a material amount of the fees we paid. I am told that multiple initiatives have begun to try to improve the customer experience during the Homeward process. 7/20/2021 - Homeward failed to execute at every single step. Enormous effort was required from us in order to move anything forward. Committed mortgage funding was pulled without notice. Closing one was delayed by over 48 hours. Closing three required over 100 emails and multiple phone calls. Our stress level was increased dramatically at every step. Communication was a disaster through all these failed steps over multiple months there wasn't a single communication initiated by Homeward to us. Either us or our Realtor had to clean up every mess made by Homeward.

They were easy to work with and made the home buying process very easy.
