I took almost 10 tries just to get past the initial log in page. I kept getting error messages throughout and even the final page just froze up forever. I get an email that I guess shows was completed but I am 43 and I have been through such a horrific experience before. The website looks like it was based on windows 95 which might explain that poor performance. No company should ever use this complete scam of a company that is likely some A.I. program.

Scam. They only want your information to sell it. This company has absolutely no idea how to run background checks. It's a scam. You will do all the work, sit on hold for hours, wait days for a reply to email and still get absolutely no where. This company is fraudulent and should be banned in the US.

I recently got sent a job offer from a company and the same day I filled out the background check form with hireright. I submitted the background check on 08/25/2023 it is now 09/12/2023 and it has not cleared. The reason it has not cleared is because it is looking for criminal records in states im not / never have been associated with. The two counties/states I am associated with cleared within the first day but its stuck on san bernadino California which I have never been to nor have any association with. due to this delay my start date with the company has been pushed back by a week as of now and im afraid that it will just keep getting pushed back as the background check is not updating at all or worse the offer gets rescinded because it took too long. I submitted an expedite request which they said they sent out and it didn't change a single thing. When I message them about the issue they say that the company ordered this background check and don't help me at all. I have never had a background check take this long, My record is completely clean , I have just turned 20 years old so I don't see how its so hard to just connect my birthdate with the records, I also recently had fingerprints done so all my info is out there I just can't see why they are searching in these counties I have no association with. This has caused financial distress because I filed my two weeks notice with my previous job expecting to start on time just for a background check company that does a horrible job to ruin it. So I now have no job as of now and have no source of money to pay for my bills. I seriously don't see why companies use hireright for their background checks, all it takes is a google search to see how horrible this company is.

If I could give zero starts I would. This is a scam of a company and I lost my dream job due to the erroneous false information that was provided. Not only once but twice when I sent them the corrected info. They claimed that they could not verify employment when I called my old job I was told nobody tried to contact them. Please contact an attorney as I have because this should be a class action cas lawsuit. I will also be contacting bbb

Since most of these reviews appear to come from candidates perspectives, let me provide one from the client/customer side. I would give them ZERO stars if I could. HireRight is simply awful. Everything stated here by others is my daily 9 year experience with this company. If you are a recruiter or new company looking for a background check provider, seriously, look elsewhere. Their website sucks, their reports come out in all different formats that you cant read or make sense of that are 3 pages long when only a single page is required, they surprise you by shutting your access down with "oh you need this document to run records in this state" when you already proactively sent that exact document in a month prior. Time? Do you have a lot of it? Well good, you can sit on hold for hours or watch your hair turn grey while you wait for an email response - which is always copy and paste canned crap with bad phone numbers and contact information. They will say "Hey, its all fixed, you are good to go." only for you to quickly realize that no, its not fixed and its not going to be. Inept. Incompetent. Oblivious. I will be working to steer my company (and its a big one) to another vendor, going on 10 years of this and I'm done. Queue generic, canned BS response from HireRight Bot in three... two... one..

I was offered a position for Vincention and have since declined the job offer. They use Hire Rite for their background checks. My references have been getting non stop harassing calls all week from all over the United states and out of the country. I’m concerned about identity theft knowing my personal information is all over the place. I’ve contacted both Vincentian and Hire rite to please close my case and quit the harassment. No response for either. This is unprofessional and unacceptable.

I applied to a company who uses this horrible company. First email I received stated they could not verify my H.S. Diploma (from 1996), I had to reach out to my high school, pay for a copy of my transcripts to send HireRight. The next email sent to me states they could not verify my last 3 employment (all with in the past 5 years) and they wanted copies of W2 & tax returns. I gave them HR name and phone number to call & verify. I am being told they take over a month to get back to employers. This is a SCAM of a company look at the reviews on Better Business Bureau.

Why are there two cities/states I’ve never lived in on my background check?
