This is the second time I've gone though hire right background check as part of being hired and its just as awful as it was a year and a half ago. If you are an HR team or hiring team please reconsider using this provider. It's an incredibly poor and stressful experience for candidates.

The worst company ever you go through background check. HireRight hired third world country India for American Citizens background checks. Very shameful. They cannot speak proper English nor they understand American system. I have been waiting 29 days only for my education to get verified. Every time I call them, I have to repeat myself 5 times and or have them repeat themselves 5 times. Very cheap and unprofessional. HireRight should do better job for the U.S citizens than this. HireRight should hire people at lease speak English, and explain them their job description before they interact with customers. I would ask Guy P. Abramo, Chief Executive Officer to focus on this and treat U.S citizens better than this.

very bad still waiting..... they are in no rush at all to finish background checks. They said it takes 72 hours to read an e-mail.

This is a horrible company to do a background check with. I have been waiting for 4 weeks for a background check. I can show you proof. I wouldn’t recommend for any company. The operators have poor customer service as well. Basically give you the runaround about what’s going on with your background. If you have other options choose another company.

An absolute horrific experience. Never ever ever choose them for your background checking services. There are better ones out there. Whenever you call them, they outsource it to a foreign country, and they have no idea what documents prove what. They asked for 1099s, and I was flagged, and I asked what the problem was, and they said we needed your W2 and 1099 together. He goes on to explain that this doesn't prove that this was your business. So I said, “On the next page, scroll down until you see K-1, where all of my information is.” Then he was giving an attitude and saying that I’m not being patient. Never go with them. There are better companies out there.

I hope I never have to deal with Hire Right again in my life! Awful experience! None of the links on their emails actually work, just feels like you’re going in endless circles. Tells you for problems you can just use the chat tab for help. Well there is no chat tab!!! They can’t seem to figure out how to do the job and end up making you do all the work for them ! F/U. Now Hireright is requesting my full info or my review can be taken down! So if I give them my personal info they can make sure I don’t get the job I’ve applied for ! They just want the bad reviews removed!

This company is totally inadequate. Large organisations do not have a phone number to verify details but an email address. There was no space to include this information so I emailed it to them. They still came back asking for my employment contract - current role and one for over five years ago! I feel like I am doing their work for them. Why companies use them is beyond me and the next role I go for if they use Hireright I will decline the offer purely because of this! Do what you are paid to do!

If I could give NO stars, I would. Got to be the worst company going, almost cost my son his very first job out of Uni. It took HireRight THREE MONTHS, yes three months to do his screening, they just do not understand plain English. When someone says UNPAID VOLUNTARY work experience, they DO NOT get pay slips, and they DO NOT have a contract. I get Hireright is American, but surely after about 10 phone calls, several emails and numerous texts, they could work out what UNPAID means, as it is, after 3 whole months of delay, they have left a gap in his report because they say the candidate could not supply supporting evidence of their work contract. FGS its ridiculous, even the company employing him got in touch to explain UNPAID means NO MONEY, therefore NO PAYSLIPS!! I would never recommend this company, what should have been an exciting time in his life, has left my son stressed and on medication because of the constant banging our heads against a brick wall because of this organisation's complete incompetence. I have posted this review all over social media to warn others not to use them too. And .... cue the crap automated response from this god awful company in 3, 2 1 .... there it is !!!
