Imagine you hire a detective to investigate on someone. You paid them. And then they just emailed the person saying: "Please fill out exactly what you were doing every year. And please be honest, we can't find out if you're lying or not" (The later part is true btw, at least for some country).
Another great thing is that I'm sure at least 50% of whatever the profit should be shared with the ones who are being investigated because they do half of the work already!!!
10/10 would recommend this to my mortal enemies.

Absolut respektlose Behandlung.
Absolut respektlose Behandlung von Kandidaten. Verlangen ständig Dokumente und Nachweise anstatt wirklich etwas zu verifizieren. Da werden frühere Arbeitgeber von hireright Mitarbeitern aus Polen angerufen und Emails mit Fragebogen angekündigt, Es werden aber nur vom Kandidaten immer mehr neue Dokumente und Informationen angefordert. Arbeitsverträge, Arbeitszeugnisse, Kontaktinformationen, von Linenvorgesetzten, HR und und und.
Dokumente z.B. für die Authorisierung eines Strafregisterauszuges sind offensichtlich nur mit einem schlechten Übersetzungsprogramm von Englisch ins Deutsche übersetz und voller Fehler.
Die Anforderungen z.B. von Dokumenten sind sehr fordernd und unfreundlich.
90% der Informationen könnte einfach via LinkedIn besorgt und verifiziert werden.

Horrible background check service
Horrible company, the level of incompetence is very high. They ask you to re-submit documents over and over, and everytime it's a different reason. One of the worst companies I've ever used for a background record check.

...and here we go again. About ten years ago i had the misfortune of dealing with hireRight as an applicant. They needed me to provide all the information to/for them and were unable to gather it themselves which caused a delay in my start date. Surprise surprise! Same thing again. Delayed start date because after being 7 days after the proposed completion date, my report is stuck at 40% which is where it has been since the first day. Google indicates many class action lawsuits against this company and it comes as no suprise. What IS a surprise is that companies continue to use this incompetent company to verify the staffing of their businesses. Tsk tsk. They should be shut down.

Absolute ignorance of employment practice in the UK. No knowledge or understanding of IR35 or basic information on self employment. US centric and no added value to a business. Only thing to recommend this company is the speed of review of application.

Una pesadilla.
HireRight es un servicio que sólo pude contactar vía correo electrónico. Me rechazaron todos los documentos que subí a su sitio con argumentos variados: desde que los archivos estaban vacíos o eran ilegibles (todo mundo podía leerlos excepto ellos, y sólo hasta que me quejé con casa matriz súbitamente fueron aceptados) hasta que no satisfacían sus criterios, y que no podían aceptarlos. Entregué incluso información oficial gubernamental y tampoco fue suficiente; no pueden a la fecha terminar de verificar mis estudios y ello a pesar de que les firmé un documento dándoles poder para investigarlos ante la institución. Fácilmente pude confirmar mi licenciatura en el sitio oficial, pero esta gente no sé qué hace realmente. Llevan ya tres semanas con esto y ello me ha llevado a un nivel de ansiedad horrible, no se debe vivir así. En dos ocasiones previas, otras empresas han realizado revisión de mis antecedentes y no tuvieron problema alguno, pero la gente de HireRight quiere que les hagas su trabajo. ¿Cómo se atreven a pedir declaraciones de impuestos para demostrarles que digo la verdad? Les he entregado cartas de recomendación, constancias laborales, actualizaciones de salarios por las empresas, pdf de título y cédula profesional y todo lo rechazaron. HireRight define el concepto de "culpable hasta demostrar lo contrario"
Pensé que mi percepción y sentir eran algo excepcional, pero ahora veo que es normal tanto su pésima atención y servicio, como el malestar y daño que generan a l@s candidat@s.
Busqué esta oportunidad laboral, me preparé y estudié con todo para poder conseguir la posición, y esta gente está provocando que la pierda. Ponen en duda mis estudios profesionales, mis materias cursadas, mi tiempo en la universidad, y ponen en duda mi estancia previa en una empresa.
Soy una persona de bien, y HireRight me trata como si fuese un criminal. Su servicio es pésimo.

The most useless company
The most useless company for background check. How can they be requesting for the same documents over and over. This is just insane. I think they are scammers and they are selling people's information to the hackers. I started receiving all sorts of calls just hours later, after I submitted all my personal information to them.
