I went on vacation and forgot my ASTHMA INHALER ...I called Oscar and they would not fill my request because they had already paid for my monthly ASTHMA MEDICINE...I told them my inhaler was at home and still I was denied a refill medication. I had to pay $ 150.42 for an inhaler !!!!! Thanks lot Oscar for nothing !!!!!!!!!!!

I am so tired of dealing with Oscar…
I am so tired of dealing with Oscar Health’s constant, relentless, hurdles to getting care for both myself and my husband. He has Crohn’s Disease and I have Degenerative Disc Disorder, plus a myriad of health issues stemming from a forced hysterectomy years earlier. We both have been dealing with these issues for years, decades, now. When Aetna decided to drop us by ducking out of working with the ACA in our state, we were forced to choose Oscar as the only comparable option. They have fought us every step of the way in order to get our meds and see our doctors. When they wouldn’t let us see our doctors, we were forced to try and find one in network and they simply do not exist. Their app and website lie about who is in network. We’ve both made appointments, shown up after calling out of work or traveling, only to find that they don’t accept our insurance even though the Oscar site said they did. We are in pain, we are tired and we are spending thousands every month for this pathetic insurance that has me crying and tearing my hair out in frustration every month. I can’t wait for the end of this year where I will gladly forfeit my insurance because at least then I can see my doctors. If you didn’t know, if a doctor doesn’t accept your insurance, but you have insurance, you can’t see them. However, if you don’t have insurance, you can go see your doctor. It’s an absolutely ridiculous system, but I’m just so tired of having to work with people who do not know mine and my husband‘s extremely nuanced health issues and going broke at the same time.

Oscar is one of the worst if not the worst I’ve ever dealt with!
This is by far the worst medical insurance company I’ve dealt with. I’ve been in the medical field for years in an administrative position, I do benefits, claims, authorizations, etc. No one is on the same page, different answers with every call or message and they don’t care to offer assistance or look into anything. Terrible company, I even complained to Corporate who of course ignored my complaint form. Really sad that a company is run this poorly, one of the worst I’ve even dealt with.

Despicable company
I am a solo parent and I purchased what seemed like a good plan through the marketplace for my 9-year-old daughter for 2026. She had it for January, February, and March with no issues. The first week of April, when the payment was due, I had a freak accident and broke bones that required surgery to fix. Due to my pain, pain meds, and trying to manage everything, I forgot to make her April premium payment. Later in the month, I realized that I had forgotten to make the payment, and I logged on to make the April and May payments. To my shock, I found that Oscar had TERMINATED her policy due to non-payment. When I called them, they told me to reach out to the marketplace, who first told me that insurance companies generally give customers a 3-month grace period to make payments, and said that due to the circumstances, they would request of Oscar that the policy be re-instated as long as I fully paid up. Oscar refused, and now I can't get another policy for her. Absolutely unethical, and utterly deplorable.

Oscar health is very good at denying…
Oscar health is very good at denying claim payment. Even for routine annual blood work. I had a visit with my primary doctor which should have been a $50 copay and it was still applied toward deductible as Oscar claimed it was not a primary care visit. The service representative on the phone could barely be understood but spoke to me as if I was the idiot. I used to work in health insurance. I know how things should be coded and paid. Thank goodness I'm almost done with Oscar.

HORRIFIC "INSURANCE"!
Allow me to introduce you to what YOU NEED TO STAY AWAY FROM WHICH IS-OSCAR "HEALTHCARE"! I tried REALLY hard from day 1 in January of 2026, to NOT write this review, but after everything I have encountered, including the reps.-I have absolutely no choice now. Here I am, 2nd Primary Care Dr. later (it's only May, but I had to switch due to many of the 1st Primary office's negligence), & I'm STILL having issues, continuously. This "healthcare" if you dare call it that, is on the poverty level of disrespectful. If you must choose this insurance, pick a Primary Care doctor after researching them very thoroughly. The "customer service" lack people skills, English, (you are constantly asking every agent "what"? because of their language barriers), empathy, education & naturally their hold time is ridiculous. I have wasted SO much of my money, my patience, my time off from my place of employment, my gas, even my mileage...that I am done with this headache of a "company" until next upcoming enrollment with my company in September. I'll pay the extra few dollars for the quality I deserve. How stupid of me to forget. Quality over inconsistency.

Denial to an MRI
I rarely write reviews, but this experience with Oscar Health has been extremely frustrating and, honestly unacceptable.
I have been dealing with severe neck and head pain for over 5 months—serious enough that I cannot work or even drive properly. My doctor ordered an MRI as a necessary diagnostic step.
I followed every procedure required. I scheduled my MRI 2+ weeks in advance specifically to allow time for authorization. After waiting in pain all that time, my appointment was canceled because Oscar claimed they never received the authorization.
With a second appointment and 2 weeks additional time, instead of resolving the issue quickly, they delayed things further by sending questions back to my doctor again by mail while I continued to suffer.
After more than 3 weeks of delays, they denied my MRI, and I had to pay the sum from my pocket.
Let’s be clear:
This is not an optional procedure.
No one pays significant money for an MRI “just in case.”
This was medically necessary, ordered by a physician, and delayed and denied.
I have now filed a formal grievance and reimbursement request.
If you are considering Oscar, understand that when you actually need care, delays and administrative issues can leave you without support when it matters most.
