Needed coverage we could afford for my husband and son as my work insurance family plan was wildly expensive (1k a month for a 13k HD plan). We are lat 20's and healthy. I found oscar bronze standard plan through an insurance broker. It cost us less to put my husband and son on a plan together with only a 6k deductable than my employee plus spouse plan at work. They covered all my son's pediatrician visits from 2 weeks on. The co-pays for urgent care were very reasonable and straight forward. Overall was very happy with our coverage and ease of use finding dr in network and coverage for yearly, sleep test and adhd meds for my husband. We only left because I got a new job where the whole family can be on 1 plan together.

Let me tell you about this AMAZING insurance. I suddenly got sick with serious health problems. And Oscar Ins. Has had my back since day 1!!!! They have not denied 1 single test/MRI/CT scan ect.. list goes on and still my problems to continue foen to surgey NO PROBLEM that was approved. So to me that I have worked with health insurance in the past AND to have them approve every single thing that I need to get better. I know a lot of people would disagree with me, judging by the reviews, but Oscar has been the best insurance company I’ve ever had. I have a rare muscular disease called CIDP. Prior to Oscar I had another insurance company through marketplace health insurance and I couldn’t tell you how horrible they were. Impossible to get on the phone, impossible to get them to approve anything, just a mess. On a whim I switched to Oscar the following year when I re-signed up through healthcare.gov. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve called Oscar and their customer service has gone above and beyond staying on the phone for hours while they call my different clinics and Infusion Center to get a problem fixed. They always get it fixed every single time. Recently, I had a hang up on getting my medication and when I called Oscar, they said “you’re all good from our end we approved your medication for a fiscal year. I knew it wasn’t them because they always approve my expensive medication. Keep in mind my medication cost $16,742 per dose per week on a wholesale market. That’s almost $1 million a year. Oscar has never given me trouble. They did change one policy at the beginning of the year, which made me have to seek a new “ letter of necessity” to show that I’m still sick which I thought was kind of silly because I have a chronic disease that doesn’t go away, but really all that required was that I went to my Nueromuscular Center and had a quick evaluation done. That was on a Friday and the following Monday. My medication was reapproved no problem. I wish I could explain better how much the customer service has helped me but one woman in particular went so far above and beyond to get a difficult problem solved and I’m so grateful to her. Oscar has done a great job in my case and I can only speak for myself, but I never thought I would praise a health insurance company. i’ve had them since January 2022 and as long as they’re around, they will remain my insurance company.

I just had another five-star customer experience with Oscar’s customer service, Jackeline. Since my plan started back in January, I spoke to about four or five of them, and each one was very pleasant and knowledgeable! As per Oscar, I’ve been having no issues getting my claims approved, and I’ve had an MRI of the brain, pelvic ultrasound, x-rays, physical therapies, at-home sleep study, etc with no issues.

As an immigrant I've always been afraid or skeptical about medical care. Oscar Health changed my mind completely. They've been so good to me. They pay for lab work, doctor's visits, medication, and have so many resources. I suffer from depression and anxiety and thanks to Oscar health I'm finally getting the medical aid I need. The best part is that it's no cost to me.
