I searched for a couple days to find the right therapist. After numerous different searches, the same one kept coming up at or near the top. I scheduled a 15-min intro session, filled out all the forms. The next day, my appt was cancelled with the therapist saying she is not taking on new patients. If that’s the case, ensure the therapist doesn’t show up in searches and don’t include numerous days and times book. Really bad when you finally take the step to seek help.

I really enjoy working with Headway. The virtual therapy sessions are easy to work with and the documentation isn’t over complicated. I also appreciate my therapist support person, Andre Green. The other support people are anlso very helpful and I like that I can communicate with a real person and not AI. The only issue I have is I haven’t been getting any clients over the past few weeks. I have two clients that have been attend sessions regularly. I have shortened my availability because of this as I have been seeing clients from other sources. I would love to stay with Headeay but I don’t know why I I’m not getting clients.

Headway platform is user friendly with good 👍 compensation

Terrible billing. Headway estimated my cost at $0 for months now. Before this I was charged my copay and then all of the sudden I wasnt. Headway then sends me an email with you owe copays for the past many months. I sent them via bot a message they returned with those are your copays. I received another those copays will be withdrawn on October 13. I sent them another message requesting the ability to pay in two payments. I really dont have the energy to fight a billing battle right now. At 5:45pm, headway attempted to withdraw over 20 plus individual copays from my bank account at one time. Too bad I didnt have my sensitive credit card as my payment because the second or third time my card would have been frozen. After the 14th time, my bank froze the card and would not allow anymore withdrawls. Headway this is highly inappropriate. To those reading this, I am not the only one this has happened too. Multiple complaints have been filed with the BBB over billing issues. Headway, mental health and wellness doesn't seem to be a main priority of your company. I have reached out several times to Headway. Oh yes, I will be addressing my issues with my former insurance company with the state of Texas.

It was very easy to schedule an appointment and give my credit card information for the upcoming appointment. I had insurance issues and then the contact with Headway became very disjointed. If you want to "talk" with anyone at Headway, all you will be able to do is chat with a bot who then sends you to another bot in another department. Definitely not worth the aggravation.

We've been using Headway solely for billing, and it's been a really helpful resource for our group practice! They have much higher reimbursement rates thatn us, and we can keep our entire practice on the same platform (SimplePractice) while getting them paid more from Headway. Navigating insurance billing and credentialing in the mental health field can be incredibly complicated, and Headway has helped simplify parts of that process for our clinicians and administrative team. As a practice owner, I appreciate having a platform that makes it easier for therapists to accept insurance and for clients to access affordable mental health care. The onboarding process is fairly straightforward, and having a centralized place to manage insurance-related information has been helpful as we've continued to grow and evolve. There are certainly aspects of the platform that could be improved, particularly when it comes to integrating with the systems group practices already use, and customer support when a client has multiple deductibles come in at the same time and they are charged for all of them (which is not okay, in my opinion), but overall, we've had a positive experience. I appreciate what Headway is doing to make therapy more accessible and help clinicians navigate the complexities of insurance!
