Their contact phone number leads you to a phone line that reads off advertisements to you and then hangs up at the end. I wish I had read this site before spending $100 on a birthday present from them.
This company is a scam. They are quite smart about it though, send you "sort of" what you ask for so you cannot sue them. They charge you $15 for a nice basket, they send you a $1 basket that's totally different. They charge you $35 on nice soft cheeses, instead they ship you the cheapest cheddars. They charge you $30 for a nice bottle of wine, and instead ship a bottle of the cheapest wine in that category.
Total scam!
Do not buy from them!!

Do not use this company!
I posted this review directly to the company’s site but it says it has to be “approved” by admin.. so I’m sure it won’t be posted but do not ever use this company!
They sent the completely wrong gift basket for Mother’s Day and was a few days later than the date they stated it would be delivered by, which was the Friday before Mother’s Day. It showed up after Mother’s Day. We emailed to notify them with photos the incorrect package was sent.. all the way down to the incorrect (deflated) balloon.
Their first response was they don’t provide refunds due to items damaged in transit... not sure where on earth they got it was “damaged” so I explained it wasn’t damaged. Their second response was “under no circumstances do we issue refunds in the event that a product or order is rendered damaged, lost or undeliverable while in transit with a third-party courier.” Their stipulations don’t say anything about not providing a refund for the INCORRECT gift basket being sent. I have asked for a refund multiple times over the last few months and nothing.
Followed up AGAIN a few days ago and their response was “the reshipment was damaged in transit and will need to re-shipped to you.” No one asked for this to be “re-shipped” and now they’re paying for even MORE postage for all these supposed “re-shipments.” Just do what a legit company would do and send a refund back because your company screwed up. If they don’t want to provide a full refund, at least refund the charges for the “extras.” This has been the worst experience with a company and terrible customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Unless you like “surprise” gift packages... that won’t include anything you ordered and will jip you of any add-ons you purchased.

Terrible Experience
Everything just went bad. Ordered a basket for Mother’s Day which is on a Sunday. Paid for it to be delivered Sunday but they used UPS which doesn’t deliver Sunday’s and the tracking said it’ll arrive Tuesday. Also I put in the correct delivery address and at some point the address got changed at no fault of mine. I contacted them to change but they only do emails and told me to contact the carrier whom I had already called and told me the only way to get it switched was through the shipper, which of course they never responded to the email. Soooo now I’ve ordered a $100 basket for myself.....

Legitimately a scam
Legitimately a scam. Hazelton's Gift Baskets (also known as The Basket Company, based in NY & Canada) stole my credit card details and charged me a separate transaction 3 x the original amount I spent. Have had to have it investigated and my cards cancelled.
Like all the other reviews, they are un-contactable and won't respond to any emails.
The gift I actually ordered was a sham too, it arrived 2 weeks later than it should've, and didn't even get delivered to my friend (they had to drive an hour to pick it up).
Just a horrible organisation. Do yourself a favor and avoid. The website may look good but it's all a front from this horrible excuse of a company. Please report them to the govt and make an online complaint, hopefully we can get these dishonest individuals shut down.

Its scam
Its scam. My family ordered a basket for my birthday with enough anticipation and paid for the expensive shipping. Several days after, I still did not receive anything, the customer service never replied the emails, they do not answer the phone calls.

WARNING
WARNING! Please read before you use Hazelton’s.
Never in my life have I dealt with such a sketchy, dishonest company. I strongly recommend you read my review before considering placing an order. with them or their sister companies.
I ordered four fruit sympathy gift baskets (totalling $500) for my cousins, whose mother passed away. Hazelton’s website is great - looks legit, lots of options, I customized the baskets to include exactly what I wanted, and check out was easy. I selected next day delivery with the idea that all of the baskets would arrive a day before my aunt’s visitation as a buffer, as the recipients were going home out of town immediately after. A day after the baskets were scheduled to be delivered, I received a notification indicating my baskets were with a driver and was provided a tracking number and his contact information. By 8:30pm the baskets hadn’t arrived, so I contacted the driver. He said the baskets were supposed to be in his car, but Hazelton’s never gave them to him. I tried contacting Hazelton’s many times via phone, email and chat on their website to no avail. I indicated that the recipients were heading home out of town and if I didn’t receive the baskets within a few hours, they’d be of no use to me. Furthermore, my order consisted of perishable items (fruit and pies), so a delay impacts the quality. I finally received a generic response from Hazelton’s saying their deliveries are delayed because it’s busy near Easter (not my problem, Easter doesn’t exactly come as a surprise each year) and that per the terms and conditions, no refund would be issued despite a two day delay in delivery. It’s important to note that I was never informed there would be a delay.
Finally, after my family members left the city, the baskets arrived. I expected that for $30-$70 in fruit per basket, we’d receive more variety than just apples and oranges (I asked for a variety). They substituted the beer I selected for a cheaper beer, but still charged us for the more expensive one. They also delivered someone else’s basket to my house, and I’m left to track down this person on my own because Hazelton’s doesn’t answer the phone or respond to emails. There’s a reason they have an F rating on Better Business Bureau.
I’m astonished at Hazelton’s poor customer service and slimy business practices. Don’t be fooled by the 4-5 star reviews. I strongly encourage you to Google search “CBC Hazelton’s Gift Baskets”, “Trustpilot Hazelton’s” and “BBB Hazelton’s”. I’m not the first person who has had an experience like this. Thank goodness my fruit was in good condition, unlike many others who received rotten/mouldy produce. This company is part of a much bigger conglomerate, The Baskets Group, which also owns Yorkville Gift Baskets, Bro Crates, Hops Collective, Good 4 You Gift Baskets, Gifting Kosher, Heart Thorn, North Pole Company, Toronto Blooms and Monthly Sommelier.
I, like many others, have had a nightmare of an experience. Do yourself a favour and order from a smaller, local gift basket / floral company. No, there’s not as much selection as you’ll find on Hazelton’s website or one of their sister companies, but at least you’ll deal with an honest company and know you’re getting what you pay for. If you’re determined to use Hazelton’s, do yourself a favour and read the terms and conditions first. Be ok with them, because if ANYTHING goes wrong with your order (likely), they’ll use the terms and conditions to their advantage.

See reviews under Hazelton's, its the same company.
Hazelton is the worst company I have ever experienced in my life. I ordered a basket to be delivered to a friend had got engaged. I paid for next day shipping but it was only sent 4 days later. When she received it, it was completely destroyed. I immediately message customer service asking for a refund. They asked if I wanted another basket sent, i said no because the occasion had passed. I sent them an email as they requested with pictures of the destroyed basket. I heard nothing back. I then got a message from my friend saying she received a second, even worst basket.
It has been 2 weeks since I asked for my refund. I have called and email over a dozen times. No one responds to my emails. Every time I call I am told a different excuse as to why my refund hasn't been processed yet, "but they are working on it". First it was the shipping department I had to wait for (for some mysterious reason), then it was the complaint department.... I speak to the same person every time I call; I doubt the company is so large that they can't communicate with the different "departments".
I would consider this business to be negligent, unprofessional and even criminal. I have wasted so much time trying to get my money back and at this point I am being flat out ignored. I plan on reporting this business because as a consumer I have rights which are protected by Canadian law.
Do not order from this company. Save your money, and more importantly, save yourself the giant headache.
