Since recent updates, the operation has been unreliable. It gives feedback at inappropriate times and doesn’t provide feedback at other times when boundary is exceeded. Also, the delay in feedback seems to have increased such that the warning comes “after the fact” when the dog runs. Also, my dog seems to have figured out in a certain place there are “blind spots” such that it can escape the boundary without detection.

Inconsistent. The collar seems to be accurate about 95% of the time. The other 5% my dog is being corrected when he is within the fence and doing nothing wrong. It will show him outside the boundary when in reality, he is well within the boundary. This is very stressful for him so I finally turned off fence feedback. What was once a very well trained dog is now uncertain and timid with his boundaries. In all fairness to Halo, I still need to follow-up with them to see if there are measures to correct this. This said, the very same thing occurred with the first collar that is now occurring with the replacement collar so admittedly, my confidence is pretty low. Multiple sessions with no solutions to date. I will call them though as I hate just throwing $650 out the window.

I have had my Halo collar for 7 months and it has allowed my German Shorthaired Pointer to roam freely over the 2 acres we own yet keeps him out of harms way of the road. Also allows me the freedom to let him roam yet recall him via the whistle recall feature. Follow the training and you won’t be disappointed. So glad I have this for my Rudi.

The company replaced the collar promptly after it quit working. Overall the collar works well and keeps my dogs within their virtual fence.

I’ve had the collar for 3 months and highly recommended! 2.5 acres, no fences, and a neighborhood road on edge of property. 18 month old standard poodle puppy that loves being outdoors. I had used the “petsafe” collar prior to halo so my fur baby was somewhat familiar with feedback so training was very easy. I can see that training may be time consuming if no previous collar training. The best feature is that I don’t have to watch her to send alerts ! The collar does that for me !! Collar let’s my dog know if she’s near boundaries or has breeched the yard ans alert me as well. I just look at my phone to see where she is -how cool is that !!! I also love being able to make multiple fences anywhere I want. We live in rural mountain area and often drive to open locations for new “sniff time “ exploring and now I can make a fence while sitting in the car or prior to and then let her out the car and have fun! The other best thing is the customer service help - I love being able to see and talk to customer service staff to walk me thru any issues. Any issues I have had are collar connection /wifi issues approx 3 times and I’m learning what to do now. I had to delete and reinstall app one time- with guidance of customer service. This product is as good as it claims !!! Get it -

Weight of my shoulders. I moved from the city where my Doberman and boxer had a fence , to the country with over 5 acres and no fence . I was very nervous of my dogs running off however they are pretty good but I was still very nervous especially when people are over or I get distracted and can not keep an eye on them. Now with the halo I am FREE of worry and my dogs are FREE to roam . Love it !!!! Best Purchase

The collar is Great , useful tool in training.The battery consumption needs to be addressed. I've have mixed experience's with the "Dog park" some good some not so good. The accuracy is pretty good, the "notifications" are numerous and reasonably fast. For the most part I think it is worth the cost.

We love the fact we can find our dog any time. We have 10 acres and so it is a big help. The program needs to be able to do a fence within a fence for those of us with acreage. We like to keep our dog close in to house when we are inside but then open up her area when we go on a hike without having to edit the fence. Also, the battery life needs to be lots longer.
