gumroad enables fake shops selling stolen content. reports of copyright violations are ignored or answered with lapidar AI - phrases. I reported 3 times, 10 days ago, 7 days ago, and today and they assured how serious they would take copyright and assured to remove the content. the product is still available (using my photos 100% identical to the original).

I think they allow way too much adult content to be present, it's supposed to be a place for artists not for such content but I am happy to see them slightly improve and banish these accounts one by one. Hence 3 stars instead of 2 or 1.

On Gumroad, in order for you to get discovered on their search, you have to make a sale of at least $10. How do you expect visitors to find your book and then make a purchase to meet that minimum if your book is not searchable - or shown anywhere? What wasted time I have spent on this website. Skip it - I an starting my own, go to Marketmerry, it will be ready for use from 15th Marc 26.

My experience with Gumroad has been mixed. At first, my account was placed “under review” despite generating legitimate sales, and I had no clear explanation or timeline for resolution. This created uncertainty and delayed access to my earnings. Eventually, Gumroad did process the payout, but the lack of transparency and slow communication made the experience stressful and far from ideal. The platform works, but creators should be aware of the high fees and the possibility of unexpected reviews that can temporarily block payouts.

I’ve personally had a really good experience using Gumroad for my project; eInkCal I’ve made a handful of sales and everything has been smooth.
