I have had Petplan for over 7 years now and have been very happy with them. They are expensive at first glance, but if you shop around, and when you compare apples to apples, their coverage is worth the upfront costs. I most recently needed to use the insurance for surgery of a torn ligament in my dogs knee. This surgery was very expensive, but was covered completely with my plan (minus the $100 deductible). Additionally, I found the customer service reps I worked with courteous and extremely helpful, in particular Justin W. He took care of me from the beginning and followed up with me like a true pro. I highly recommend Petplan.

Many years ago I had a pet insurance policy with a different company and hated it! Two years ago I decided to get a policy for mybnew kitten and after researching and reading reviews I felt Pet Plan was the best one to fit my needs and I was definitely right. I now have 3 cats insured with Pet Plan and couldn't be happier. If someone isn't feeling well I no longer debate should I take them to the vet today or should I wait. I just go. I have used with our regular vet, specialist and with a trip to the emergency clinic. Using the app on my phone claims are processed quickly and reimbursement checks are very prompt. Pet Plan now offers a breeding program which is absolutely wonderful. When someone picks up their new kitten I can set them up with an insurance trial that begins immediately!! Anyone with a pet really should have Pet Plan!

They couldn't have been nicer. Their representative, Kim, was so compassionate and consoling after we shared the bad news that surgery failed to save our beloved dog from intestinal tract cancer. We received the check very quickly, but it was really the customer service that made such an impression. We are grateful.

Don't get me wrong, the service is swift, and the people who answer the phones are pleasant. However read the small print because the less expensive policies are basically a worthless waste of money. They will come up with a reason for not paying you for almost anything. On the cheaper policies the commonest scam is that they only pay once for an illness, the commonest reason they will supply is that the illness is connected to another illness in the previous year, as a result they won't pay. So if you have an illness that takes a while to sort out your doomed, an illness or problem that is common e.g. bladder infection, teeth problems, foot problems they your doomed, because the first time your vet tries the least invasive treatment (which is good practice) and it doesn't work, any further treatment are a recurring problem and they won't pay. I would advise saving the premiums and using this to pay your vet bills, I think over the years I calculated that I paid 2 x the amount to pet plan than I paid to the vets, and received only a fraction of that in claims.

I normally do not fill out surveys however, I felt compelled to share the exceptional service I recently got from a happiness manager. I called not too long ago after having some questions on which plan was best for my kittens, Leo and Luna. Kim B was very personable and spent a great deal of time talking me through my options and helped me pick out the best plan. I was impressed by her knowledge and enthusiasm. Overall, I had a great experience. It was refreshing to receive such great service from people who clearly know so much about the insurance industry! Thank you!

Our dog, 4 years and 12 lbs had 2 incidents that we had to use our Petplan insurance. Both the Dr's involved and Petplan saved us and our dog. I have recommended Petplan to everyone at every Vet., dog food store and people I know have pets, They are fabulous and understanding

My dog Memphis suffered for years with allergies. Every vet that saw her said it was seasonal. When she stopped eating and had to be hospitalized they said she was depressed and she was put on antidepressants and Xanax.(1 night stay $2000.00 which petplan covered at 90%) Finally a vet suggested I have her allergy tested. So far the testing and meds have cost over $2000.00 pet plan deducted my deducible and reimbursed me at 90% all this is less than 10 days. Memphis is a new dog. She now plays like a puppy, likes having her belly rubbed can be found wherever the other dogs or I am. Previously she would spend all of her days hiding under a piano. The terrible yeasty smell she had is gone. I am so grateful for petplan. Without them I would never be able to afford Memphis care. There customer service team is a delight to work with. Big shout out to Katie H. who has been wonderful. I now have her email and phone number for any questions or future claims. Thanks PetPlan YOU GUYS ROCK
