I’m not writing this review to criticize the product because I have ordered Googoo hair on Amazon before and the quality was great. Infact, this review is coming from somebody who has in the past purchased and spent up to 600.00 on clip in extensions through other companies and in this particular case wanted a less expensive alternative without completely compromising the quality. Thats where Googoo hair comes in. Since the color I was looking for from Googoo was out of stock at Amazon, I decided to go directly to the goo goo hair site . I had been ironically receiving email promotions from Goo goo stating that if I ordered by a certain date, I would receive my product in 1-3 business days. Before I decided to place my order, I wanted confirmation on this shipping time so reached out to their on line customer support asking what their shipping time was .( I didn’t even mention the promotion code I had been receiving in my emails - I was just looking for “ basic” shipping time frames. I was quoted that the shipping to the US took 2 to 4 business days and in other countries, 1 to 3. Wow!! Perfect! However, Just to be extra sure, I went back into my “promotional shipping email” Goo goo had sent me ( 3 times) copied and pasted the promotional code as directed in the email and Happily placed my order feelings relieved That I would get my hair right before I left town for my event. Yes, I know I’m pushing it close… That’s a whole other story lol. Regardless, It was the next day when I received an email from Googoo Stating that my delivery was on its way and I should expect it by November 14, which is a WEEK LATER than what Had been communicated to me. Ok I thought, “don’t panic.. maybe this isn’t accurate information “ so, I reached out to customer service for clarification as to why once I placed my order, The shipping date changed. I went through the online chat so if needed, I could send the screen shots of my confirmed delivery of 1-3 days through email and customer service.. The response i received is They do not guarantee the shipping, but they will urge it. Wait huh? OK, so heres where my issue begins. Even though I was upset at the idea that I could have ordered elsewhere had I known this 1-3 day shipping thing was just hopeful wishing, I respectfully suggested that the company finds a different way to communicate to their customers more accurate details about shipping since nowhere in any form of communication I received was I informed that shipping was 1 to 3 days buuuut.. it could actually be 10. The response I got was “I’m sorry this happened but we will urge it.” Annoyed , i followed up with a thank you but again, reiterated that “sending emails stating that if you order by a particular date, You will Receive your product in the promotional time frame is extremely misleading.” To me, It comes off as if sales are more important than the quality of service . I then got another generic response that said.. “ We will urge it “ So out of honest curiosity I asked, “In your experience, has “urging it” been successful or am I better off making sure I order a back up set of hair else elsewhere?” ( regardless I was already planning on that at but was trying to understand their process ) Again, I got the Ol ” we will urge it” Which is when I foolishly realized at that point I don’t even know if I’m talking to a live person or if these redundant responses were just a way to get me to shut up so we could all move on. .So, sadly, my attempt to offer some constructive costumer feedback may have been misplaced .. there for .. here I am. I don’t know if this review will reach Goo goo but my hope is they improve their communication when it comes to the shipping. At the very least, if my experience can help someone else avoid the confusion and anxiety I went through by understanding 1-3 days does not mean 1-3 days it means they’ll “ Urge it” 🙄 then sharing this overly long review was worth it! It is still unknown if I will receive my order in the next two days or not but I do know this whole urging process does not feel very reassuring. I did place an order elsewhere, which will be arriving tomorrow. Worst case scenario I return one, but at least I know I will now have my hair in time. :)
