We completely understand how disappointing this is and want to help resolve it right away. Micro tip and micro link extensions require precise installation and care, and slipping can be influenced by a variety of factors: Sectioning & Hair Ratio: If too little natural hair is pulled into the micro ring relative to the weight of the extension strand, the ring won't hold sufficient grip and can slide out. Product Residue: Oils, silicone, or conditioner applied near the scalp or roots prior to or during installation can make the natural hair strands slippery. Bead Placement & Angle: The angle at which the strand is clamped and the clamping pressure need to be balanced—over-clamping without proper natural hair density inside can sometimes warp the bead and reduce friction. Since you mentioned cutting the weft to custom size, we’d like to share a helpful technical tip: when cutting hair extension wefts, it is essential to seal the cut ends immediately. Because the internal threads holding the hair strands together are severed during cutting, the ends will unravel and cause noticeable shedding with brushing if they are left unsealed.
