We're sorry to hear that you have noticed some unfamiliar transactions on your billing statement. Please note that Curb is not just an app. Curb also provides backseat credit card machines to cabs throughout the US and beyond. If you pay for taxi rides using these machines, you will see charges from Curb - even if you have never used the app and do not have a Curb account. If this does NOT apply to you and if you have NOT used your card to pay for taxi rides, please contact [email protected] with specific examples (dates, exact amounts, last 4 digits on the card used), so our team can look into this and advise you on next steps.

Thank you for your feedback. When you hail a taxi at MIA, the cost of your ride is based on local taximeter rates which are not set or controlled by Curb. Please note that the fare for taxi rides in vans is 30% higher than rides taken in standard size taxis. Please contact the Miami Dade County Transit Department with any questions regarding this rate. If you did not update your tip before your ride ended, our Support team can assist with that. Please contact [email protected] for assistance with your tip.

Thanks for reaching out. If you used the app to request your ride, then there definitely should not have been the difference in cost that you described. Tip is never included in the Upfront Fare, so any optional tip amount will cause the final cost to be higher. If you did not intend to include a tip and if you have questions in general about the cost of your ride, please contact [email protected] so we can take a look.

Thank you for your feedback. When you use the app to book in most cities like NYC or Chicago, you will see a pre-calculated Upfront Fare in advance. There are some cities where the cost of an app booked ride will be based on local taximeter rates and in those situations the app will provide a rough estimate of the metered fare vs a pre-calculated Upfront Fare.
