Uncaring Representatives
My GE dishwasher quit working after only a few years of once a week use. Contacted GE Customer Service who offered me a similiar model with less features. The price included delivery and installation. After Almost a month, the dishwasher was Finally ready to be installed. I took the day off and the installers Finally arrived. One installer inspected where the unit would be installed in my kitchen while the other installer opened the box containing the new dishwasher. They then discovered that the door to the new washer was dented, so the entire day was a bust. I called GE Customer Service and of course my case manager wasn't available to speak to. The installers apologized but told me that it was GE's policy that they were not allowed to open and inspect the appliance before reaching the customer's residence and that it was possible that the next unit could also arrive damaged. The Representative from GE that I spoke with seemed completely uninterested in my situation. She acted like she was listening then had to repeat back to me the information i had given her several times. She basically told me I would have to speak with My Case Manager, and these Reps are not authorized by GE to think for themselves. I'm waiting to hear back so I can cancel my order and just go to Lowes and buy something other than GE since GE obviously doesn't care about its customers. This is the last GE Appliance I will ever own.
