I’m absolutely in love with my Beagle Lamp! The customer service team maintained constant communication with me and was even able to offer me a reduced price. Shipping was crazy fast, it arrived in 5 days! The quality of the lamp far exceeds my expectations. The weight is very substantial. The base is solid marble. My only complaint is that it was almost impossible to find an LED bulb that worked properly with the 3 stage dimmer. I initially thought the lamp was defective and opened a ticket. The brightest setting would drop to the dimmest setting after about 5 seconds. After buying several different bulbs, the 3 stage dimmer finally worked. Hopefully I don’t need to replace the bulb anytime soon. A bulb should be included so customers don’t have to deal with this hassle

Definitely do not recommend! We bought a pendant from France and Sons in August. My credit card was billed immediately, which I found a bit odd given that we didn’t receive any shipping notification. We were then told that the pendant would not be available until December, despite the pendant being available when we purchased it. I emailed to cancel the order and was met with immediate resistance, and was then required to sign two DocuSign forms, and was told that there would be a $20 “administrative fee”. Totally unacceptable cancellation process, especially considering that they couldn’t deliver the product for 4 months. It is also wrong to bill for a product that hasn’t shipped. Anyways, I will not buy from them again.

Chandelier looks perfect

In November of 2021 we purchased a home and our realtor gifted us 4 outdoor chairs from France &Sons. The home was staged with these chairs and I fell in love with them. The chairs were delivered inMay 2022 and set up in our backyard in June. Upon sitting in one of the chairs that I noticed that one of the chairs was splinting/breaking at one nail. I contacted France and Sons and submitted a claim letting them know that the chair was defective. Upon review, they initially offered me a 10% partial refund. I contacted the manufacturer, Four Hands on Instagram for assistance. I believe someone fromFour Hands reached out to F&S and only then I was offered a replacement. I was told that the chair was backordered and would not ship for 6-8 weeks. 8weeks later, I contacted F&S for a status update.They stated that they would not replace the chair but offer a store credit. Here’s my issue and frustration. This is fraudulent behavior. F&S is forcing its customers to repurchase furniture at current retail cost that is much higher than the time of original purchase instead of filing a claim with the manufacturer for a replacement. If we received a defective chair and want to be made whole, isn’t it the responsibility of the retailer to work with the manufacturer instead of processing a store credit? I spent a considerable amount of time on a call with F&S on 9/19/22. First I was told that the chair was not replaced because Four Hands didn’t send a replacement due to it being backordered until Jan2023. However the website shows it’s available so I asked again, what it the lead time if I repurchase at current retail cost. They then stated that the chair has been discontinued by Four Hands so I can’t reorder the chair. What is the truth? My realtor forwarded me an email from F&S with the store credit of $638 to repurchase the Julian Chair for $806 (a discounted rate). I also confirmed with another retailer that the chair is NOT discontinued and will be available to ship by the manufacturer in 1-3 weeks. So is how is this chair discontinued? France & Sons is a horrible retailer. Dishonest and unethical. So many online reviews state the same. Response to France and Sons: Here's the timeline of correspondence with the service team which changes excuses for resolution: - Julian chair ordered (Qty: 4) - 11/28/21 for $638 each / current price is $900-1000 - Julian chairs delivered - 5/10/22 - Contacted France and Sons service - 6/19/22 - Submitted a claim to France and Sons - 6/24/22 - France & Sons declined to replace the chair and provide 10% refund off the defective chair - 7/6/22 - Reached out to Four Hands via Instagram - 7/6/22 - France and Sons agreed to replace the chair (backordered 6-8 weeks) - 7/7/22 - Requested a status update on the replacement - 9/7/22 - Denied replacement and issuing store credit because they did not receive a replacement from Four Hands - 9/7/22 - Received email from France and Son to repurchase the discontinued chair - 9/17/22 CS phone call recap - 9/19/22 - The chair was not replaced because the manufacturer can’t provide product until Jan 2023 - There is no way to credit the credit card or provide visa gift card - The website states: available. I was told that Four Hands has discontinued the Julian chair??? **Update: Four Hands sent me an email o 9/22 stating the following: Hi Constance, I am so sorry to hear about the issues you have had. France & Son should be aware of this now that our account representatives have reached out to them. Please contact them if you haven’t heard from them yet as they should be reaching out. We apologize for the inconveniences you have had to endure. I forwarded the email to CS and radio silence. TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!!

We found just the right lamp with just the right features (I love the rocker switch on the base!). It arrived ahead of schedule and was very well packed. Good product and prompt service…perfect!

My purchase with France and Sons was nothing but problems. They don’t give a delivery date when the purchase is made. After reaching out several times, they finally gave me a delivery date that was unacceptable to me, so I wanted to cancel. You have to pay in full in advance instead of 50% up front as reputable companies ask for. So now they will only give me a credit. We are talking thousands of dollars not hundreds. That was not working for me so I accepted the delivery. When my dining chairs were finally delivered , 2 of these chairs had damages. I reached out to them for repairs or new chairs, and was only given an option of a $61 credit that I never reviewed to date. Buyer beware. I would never recommend France and Son to anyone I know.
