I was on website and looked at tickets for a movie. I was about to purchase when the screen went blank. When I was able to get on website it appeared that my purchase of tickets did not go through. I checked my email with no confirmation and purchase history on there website. No record of transaction. The next day I notice charge on bank account. Lowe and behold I had an email in key spam account. Amazingly the purchased showed up. Since I did not cancel my tickets before the movie the refused to refund tickets. Completely fraudulent activity. Customer service was terrible. I would suggest you avoid this company. Very poor business model!

can only use fandango credits on your browser
the app wont let you use any fandango credits, making it appear like you don't have any way to get that money back. however i was able to use my credit by loggin in on my laptop to buy tickets. its a very bad app.

Would give zero stars if I could
Would give zero stars if I could. DO NOT ACCEPT A CREDIT INSTEAD OF A REFUND! Their credits DO NOT WORK when you go to book tickets. Impossible to get a hold customer service over phone. They do not call back as promised. They refuse to give refunds via email or chat. Absolute garbage company with terrible customer service!

No customer service
When Fandango works, it's fine. When there's a problem, there's absolutely no support. You can send an email and wait 72 hours for a response, or you can try to wait for a response through the chat, which can take forever. I'd rather sit at home and watch a movie on tv.

Horrible!
I don't know how Fandango stays in business? The entire model is a scam and their "gift cards" never work. Don't use them!

Oh Fandango
I wish I had read the reviews before trying to buy a ticket with them. I initially bought 2 movie tickets, but kept encountering issues while trying to finalize the payment. For one, when using PayPal, it kept asking me to sign into my bank account. I was surprised by this, as the whole point of PayPal is to avoid all of that. Anyway, I finally went with Google Pay, but then found out that I had been charged twice. I later came to see that there was an error on their end. I tried to contact Fandango about the double charge via their live chat. I was waiting for over 30 minutes before I ended up forgetting I was waiting. Later on, I received an email from them stating that the chat had been closed due to inactivity. I responded outlining the issue with the double payment, and received a response that I would hear back within 72 hours. I did not.
I ended up having to dispute the purchase with PayPal. They ended up refunding everything, even though I had wanted to keep the original purchase. It was only once that was sorted, did I get a response to my email. Even then, it didn't really address it. All it give me a number to call about my issue.
Even with this, I decided to try and purchase the tickets again. Believing that this time around, the issue was sorted. I even reached out to Google One support about Google Pay, to ensure that everything was fine on their end. They confirmed that it was. In trying to purchase again, I saw I was presented with a screen to specify which payment method to use (via Google Pay), something I wasn't given when I bought my tickets the first time around. This time around, I encountered an error message. I contacted my provider to ensure the purchase wasn't being flagged. They assured me all was well, and that it was probably being denied by Fandango. I first tried to call them (Fandango) using the number they had provided in their last email, but was ironically directed to reach out to them via their live chat. However, when I did, I found myself waiting over an hour just to try and speak with someone. After such a long wait and a number of messages from me, I eventually received a message that no live agent was available. With that, I gave up and just bought it through another ticketing agency.
As a first time user of Fandango, this whole experience has been quite a disappointing one.

Fandango are thieves and you wonder why…
Fandango are thieves and you wonder why people don't do things the right way; like pirating movies or hopping theaters. I purchased tickets for Black Adam to watch with my kids since i dont get much time with them as I work a lot. After purchasijg the tickets, I noticed the sites' GPS (location finder) brought me to the wrong theater, even though I typed in my zip code. The theater the website directed me purchase to, was located 1hr and 32 minutes where as the one I originally wanted to purchase from was 10 minutes away. When I went to process the refund, the first one went through ok (even though Fandango got free money from their "service fee.") After I did it, and repurchased another set of tickets, my daughter later decides she does not want to go. I went for another refund and I noticed the tickets were purchased at the wrong address again, even though I made sure of the website changing the address to the correct theatre. I went to purchase the tickets a THIRD time and triple confirmed that it registered at the right address this time and then tried to correct the ticket sale at the wrong address CAUSED BY THE WEBSITES incorrect GPS located purchase. The movie had already started and I was told, after reaching out to chat, that I lost $50 and there was nothing they could do - for a movie I did not see or go to. Customer service was not helpful. After all this, learned my lesson and will never use Fandangos service again; and will encourage others not use it either going forward. The name of the company should have been a clear red flag indicator.
