Purchasing tickets is fine. But getting refunds for a movie that had problems was impossible. Booked for the 70 mm version of The Odessy shown at the Regency Theater in the Irvine Spectrum. Projector broke down and Regency offered refunds which they paid on the spot. We had to go through Fandango and nothing happened after two email requests. Plenty of money lost.

Plus - the selection of films and series Big minus: The UI. It's terrible, buggy, full of errors (during payment, during playing) - you can't really play what you have bought - you have to search for it every time. you can't just play the movie you bought from a list of bought films - that would be TOO easy. also when you buy a film and play it even for a second, you can't play it again. that's it - buy a new one. the website us slow, laggy and looks like something from 15 years ago. constant errors: you buy a film, it shows an error, then you want to watch the film but you can't because you get the message that you already purchased it. so you have to refresh everything. subtitles - only somewhere and only English also - no other options, just ON or OFF Honestly, I think the management doesn't care at all. They have a semi-functional website, the money flows so why bother.

Got the deal for the summer pass, which was great the first month. Got a free theater ticket, $10 off on a fanstore purchase and a streaming credit. The pass is for 4 months, renewing on the same day each month. I am now into my second month and nothing has renewed. Contacted "customer service", which was a complete waste of time. Almost impossible to understand and did nothing! I am going to give my account 1 more day to update before requesting a pro-rated refund for the last 3 months. Update 9/4 I believe the Fandango fan club summer pass to be a scam. I have now contacted customer service three separate times and they have no idea what I am even talking about. I did however manage to use the promotional credits I received for signing up last month and the one of three promotional codes that I received this month to equal out the balance of what I paid for the pass in the beginning. Buyer beware on the summer pass, and I also highly suggest you use a credit card, not your bank card for individual streaming purchases with this company. The ability to stream newer movies at cheaper prices on Fandango I think is great. I've been doing it since it was vudu, without a hitch. I'd stay away from the fan club all together though.

Why is it every time it updates I have to figure out what device I must use to make a purchase. I wasted too much money on Vudu/Fandango for them to still not get the apps right.

Fandango bought VUDU, VUDU were flawless ,Fandango displays less than half the digital copies I own , This is a FAIL. The transition was difficult and the results have been near garbage. I went the purchase prices of all my digital only movies refunded.

Website is difficult. Service fee feels like a ripoff. I'll avoid the service in the future.

I tried watching a couple of movies, but unfortunately, the actual picture quality wasn't very good. It could never take the place of my cable TV, which has a nice sharp, detailed picture. Fandango was like watching old, worn-out VHS tapes on a VCR. I guess if that's all you can afford and all you want to do is follow the story, then it might be okay for you.

I wanted to see a movie and felt forced to order using their service. They automatically send you emails that are not possible to opt out of--clear behavior they do not care about their customer.
