I contracted with Brightside to move some items. Brightside contracted with Express Movers. BOL M2142397. We insured the items for $12000. They delivered the wrong box. The box they delivered was filled with cleaning supplies. I contacted Express Movers and have had no satisfaction, no communication, no results. Express movers stated that I must file a claim with CSIPROS. The claim was submitted July 13. Claim number 1529-2120. 52 days after the claim was filed, CSIPros state that they cannot process the claim until they receive paperwork from Express movers. I have tried calling express movers and no one will answer. I tried sales, customer service, billing and their operator. Brightside answered their phone and said the only thing they can do is to contact Express Movers. CSIPROS said the only thing they can do is contact Express Movers.
So, the people who answer their phone say that Express Movers must respond but Express Movers do not respond.

Terrible Experience
We wanted to write to tell you how displeased we were with your service. First the gentlemen spoke nearly no english. They did not mark/tag each box/item. You were obviously hired as a third party with Frontier Moving.
We have a missing TV, Chrome ceiling fan, missing irreplaceable framed cub scout uniform with awards and a Virginia Tech campus framed sketch from the 1970’s. A broken coat rack and most of the boxes were either badly banged up or the plastic cracked.
We have placed a claim with CSI. I hope you will be honoring the basic coverage of replacement value included with the your service. The only thing I can say positive about them was they delivered on time. Terribly expensive.
I will also be pursuing with the insurance company if the drivers were actually legal or illegal immigrants. They spoke practically no English. They had to play a message on their phone. I want to know if they actually pass their drivers license test. I don’t know if you need a special one for the size of truck, they were driving.

Moving is stressful enough, they will add to your stress!
I’m only choosing to give them 2 stars because the drivers we got were very friendly. That’s the only good thing I can say. My husband and I went with this moving company because we thought they were a reputable company. We were wrong and should’ve done more research. We moved from New Jersey to Florida with barely anything (literally just an tv, a dresser, some bags of clothes and boxes) and still ended up paying around $4000. Not only that but the movers came July 18th (WAYYY AFTER THE TIME THEY SAID THEY’D BE THERE) and we didn’t get our stuff until August 07th at 11pm. Between the time they picked up our stuff till the time they dropped it off they could never really tell us directly where our stuff was. They had a hard time keeping track of our things and while my husband tried to contact them several times about it they would take days to respond back. When the boxes did arrive, they were smushed and looked like they had been wet or something and they ended up giving us the wrong tv! So we don’t even have ALL of our things. We filed a claim a week ago and still haven’t heard anything! This is totally unacceptable and I’m sure whoever’s tv we have probably feels the same way. If you’re looking for a moving company I’d advise you to look elsewhere! Save yourself the headache and stress. Moving is stressful enough.

Terrible. Do NOT hire.
Terrible moving company. Hired them through a broker. Got an estimate. Movers arrive after midnight after rescheduling multiple times and looking at the same list of items (actually less!) and somehow the estimate jumped 250 cubic feet and they designated normal sized furniture as bulky for additional fees and add-ons. Then, they arrive late and of course my items look like they’ve been thrown around. They didn’t want to take their trash to the dumpster claiming it costs them extra to do so (never heard of a moving company not taking their trash out). I finally unboxed my television and see that they somehow dropped or threw my TV around so hard that it broke through the styrofoam cushions, protective box, additional protection and shattered the screen. Do not hire them and if they somehow wind up as your movers after booking through a broker, CANCEL. Do NOT hire this company. Please. They do not care about your items.

The company picked up my things on July…
The company picked up my things on July 31st. After nearly two weeks there is no delivery details, I have no idea where my belongings are, and I am sleeping on the floor with no clothes for my new job since I was told the items would've arrived by now. Do NOT recommend this company if they can't keep track of the items they move and deliver on time.

You'll probably get your stuff eventually
Two stars as move-out and move-in were streamlined and easy---this is no reflection of the drivers. However, the in-between was like pulling teeth. My earliest delivery date was 7/15. I made it clear multiple times to customer service that I needed to know as soon as possible when the delivery would be, as my apartment building is quite strict on move-in timing. One week before move-in on 7/9, I called Anthony, and he told me that the truck would be there on 7/15 morning, and I made arrangements as such. The night before, I called to confirm and was told the truck had not left yet and would be leaving tomorrow. This happened for 5 straight days, where I was told the truck would be leaving, and it did not. When the truck finally did arrive on 7/20, I was told I would have to pay an extra $500 for a "shuttle fee" as an 18-wheeler can't reach my apartment, which no one made me aware of despite having my new address for 6 weeks. I'd consider other companies in the future.

Terrible experience from start to finish, ending in litigation and claims
I scheduled a long distance move from New York City to Atlanta for a May pick up and June 2nd delivery with a company called Brightside that turned out to be an equally bad broker service – meaning all the promises about ensuring timely pick up and delivery date was all just lip service. After selling the contract to Express Movers Inc., everything spiraled down hill from there and ended up costing me thousands of dollars in extra moving costs and damages that will now go to litigation as they refuse to engage in any type of customer service. At least three of their employees agreed with me that this whole situation is just wrong. Once they (Moshe Gamay and Jay Al Khatib) have the money in their pocket, they will stop picking up calls and will instruct their employees not to pick up or return your calls.
1) MOVING PROCESS
i. They would/could not confirm an actual move pick up date/time until less than 12 hours before my "scheduled" window. They ended up coming 8.5 HOUR LATE!!! Same for delivery -- everything is an "estimate" despite what they promise you and when things hit the fan, they point to the small print which basically says they owe you pennies on the dollar for any damages and that there are no guarantees for anything.
ii. Delivery was a bigger nightmare. They showed up three days before my earliest scheduled move in date (before my new place was even vacated by the last tenants and before my lease even began). When I let them know their mistake, it resulted in days of delay as they detoured down for another move in Florida. As a result I lost hundreds of dollars in my lease as the apartment sat completely empty and unusable, and my having to pay for a hotel to stay in.
2) PRICE. The delivery estimate that they quote you is arbitrary. No matter what they quote, you will likely pay almost double after they've loaded the truck. Read the reviews. I was quoted $1700 for my move, which was supposed to include packing services. At the end of this, I ended up paying $2600 -- not including the thousands of dollars in damages and extra expenses due to their mistakes. Upon arrival, no one seemed to really know what was going on, and not only did they disregard clear instructions for what should go and what should stay (which also cost me very dearly), the packing and loading job was disorganized and extremely inefficient (i.e. not filling up boxes all the way so they could charge extra for additional boxes, packing items that were to be thrown away, again, using up extra boxes). Don't make the same mistake I did and try to save money -- it will come back and end up costing you at least double the difference and a huge amount of stress and headache.
3) DAMAGES.
i. Half of the furniture that was valuable enough for me to bring down with me was completely destroyed. Legs were broken off of chairs and dressers, furniture that should NOT be disassembled for some reason was taken apart (with no way to reassemble without completely severely compromising its integrity and aesthetic), TV boxes must have been thrown about, as one was broken and useless upon arrival and had to be thrown out. Glassware that they packed for me was shattered and broken.
ii. Your property will NOT be looked after -- boxes will arrive comically crushed and torn. During my sales call, I was sold that items would be stored in a secure and safe environment until delivery. We were shocked to see the state of the delivery truck when it finally arrived. The back was just open during transit--IN THE RAIN. Boxes were soaked, almost a quarter of all my clothing and shoes (thousands of dollars worth) were completely destroyed.
4) Customer service = NONEXISTENT. When the delivery finally arrived, they sent ONE PERSON! While Ismail was a lovely gem of a human, it was an impossibility that he could complete this move on his own. He brought one small dolly with him which could barely fit a few small boxes on it, much less my extra deep king mattress and any furniture pieces. My fiance saw him struggling to even budge the mattress in the truck and we ended up doing 70% of the actual lifting and moving ourselves. THIS IS NOT WHAT WE PAID THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR. I was told that the company would get back to me on a refund or some type of resolution. Never happened.
5) LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY. During the delivery and after, Ismail expressed his sympathy and shock at the state of some of the damage to my property. He was on the phone with his boss, Jay, a few times and they acknowledged error on their part and I was told I would be compensated. After they left, NOTHING. What do I get? A month of run around, hostility, and now verbatim "It was your choice to help with the move" -- I have screenshots of text conversations where they promised some type of restitution that they're now backtracking on. This company has no conscience.
