The glasses are ok and for the most part they deliver what’s promised. Navigation only works while cycling or walking which I’m sure is useful in cities like New York but really not great in most cities. Overall, they’re serviceable but far too limited to justify the price tag. If they were maybe three hundred I would have kept them and the review would be different. The ring was useful but another item that is drastically over priced. Maybe 149 would be more fair. The real crime are the attachable sunshades at $99. These things were such a pain to put on and take off. If they made them magnetic then sure I could see the price possibly being worth it but as they are I wouldn’t purchase them.

I received my G2 glasses with progressive lenses, along with the R1 ring and the sunglasses attachment. The first thing I noticed is that they are heavy, very tight, and difficult to adjust to my face. Living in Miami, I had to order them from a distributor in Maryland, which led to several complications. One issue was the ring size; I was asked to get measured at a reputable jewelry store, but the R2 ring I received was too big. I had to pay to have a ring-sizing kit sent to me just to find the right fit. When I put the glasses on, I realized they were digging in everywhere—on my nose and behind my ears—and they felt heavy. But that’s the least of it. The worst part is that the focal point on the progressive lenses is far too narrow; you have to constantly move your head to find the right focus. I own many pairs of progressive glasses, and this isn't normal. The progressive lenses they use aren't good, and to make matters worse, you can't replace them if they don't work for you. The cost for the progressive lenses is exorbitant—over $800—which is an absurd price to pay when you have no recourse if they don't fit properly. I spent $2,000 on the G2 glasses, and honestly, I can't see well with them. Customer service is poor and indirect; you have to submit support tickets just to interact with anyone. Regarding the default iPhone apps, I’ve thoroughly tested the translator, and it has a major flaw. It stacks translated phrases rather than keeping them on the same line; when a new phrase comes in, it jumps to a new line, causing you to lose your place in the text. Before you know it, the entire translation is lost because a new one has started. As a developer, I’m trying to create my own translation plugin using Deepgram and Gemini, but there is absolutely no documentation or guide for the original app, so it involves a lot of guesswork. I don't understand the mystery behind Even Realities not releasing the source code. I think the Even Realities G2 is an overpriced little gadget for what it offers, and it is still in the experimental stage.

Even G2 glasses arrived dead on arrival and never powered on once. They were shipped directly to my optometrist for prescription lens installation, then forwarded to me — they never functioned at any point. I completed every troubleshooting step (multiple chargers, cables, cleaned contacts) and documented everything. Even Realities denied warranty coverage, citing "unauthorized lens modification," even though I provided a written statement from my licensed optometrist confirming only lenses were installed and no electronic components were touched. Their only offered resolution was a $120 non-refundable diagnostic fee with no guarantee of repair. After 4+ months of back-and-forth, I was left with a non-functional $599 device and a $124 ring that only works with their ecosystem. Research their warranty terms and support track record before buying — especially if you need prescription lenses.

They have zero operational infrastructure. Can’t get out of their own way with a dope product. Don’t bother…they can’t fulfill orders and I’d be surprised if their support team knows which end of the toothbrush to use. Too bad.

I ordered Even G2 prescription smart glasses (Order #24479712011, about $1,027). The lenses arrived with the prescription sphere sign flipped -- manufactured farsighted when my prescription is nearsighted -- so I cannot focus through them past about six inches. Completely unusable. Here is the part that turned a simple mistake into a 17-day ordeal: their checkout never actually captured the +/- sign of the prescription -- no required selector, no validation against an impossible entry -- yet they blamed me and refused a refund. Their only "resolution" was to charge me another $209 to remake the lenses they made wrong. I contacted them 13 times and asked for a return label or refund at least nine times between May 21 and June 6. Four different agents replied -- always during China business hours, landing at 1 to 4 AM my time -- each one repeating the same script and hiding behind a "non-returnable" policy that is meant for change-of-mind returns, not products manufactured incorrectly. For context, Even costs more than Meta's Ray-Ban glasses (~$750-950 vs ~$450-600 with prescription), and Meta's current glasses are actually built to handle prescriptions properly. In my experience Even is overpriced, the prescription ordering is defective, and the support is designed to wear you down rather than make things right. I have disputed the charge and filed complaints with the FTC and my state Attorney General. I cannot recommend them.

Hi David, Thank you for sharing your experience. To clarify, prescription glasses are custom-made and are not covered under our standard return policy. However, if a manufacturing error has occurred, we're happy to look into it and make it right. Regarding the prescription sign, our system records the values as entered during checkout. We're sorry if the process wasn't as clear as it could have been, and we'll share your feedback with our team. If you'd like the lenses remade with an updated prescription, we do offer a lens replacement service. We've already reached out to you directly and will continue the conversation there. Best regards, Even Realities Team

Currently in conversation with customer support on a refund request for a pristine non-prescription order that is a mere 5 days post 14 day hard submission line. For a $700 piece of technology, we expected much more from this purchase. They are complicated to navigate, slow, and unfortunately entirely too expensive for their value proposition. I would wait a few generations to see how this category expands and which competitors enter the field. As of now, we're awaiting "Lily" to escalate this situation to a supervisor, as their return policy is - frankly - embarrassing. You have more favourable terms with Best Buy. It's almost as if they know the novelty wears off all to quickly, and try to foist their unwanted product on you. If a more favourable response is passed down from support, we'll update the scoring and review - but for now, if you're considering them - don't. Edit: Oh look, another vague complete dismissal via 'fairness' - what does that even mean. You want to be fair to your customers? Don't screw them - simple.

Hi there, Thank you for your honest feedback. We appreciate your thoughts on navigation and usability — we're continuing to improve with every update. For non-prescription products, we offer a 14-day return window. To be fair to all customers, we're unable to make exceptions beyond this period. We appreciate your understanding. If you'd still like to discuss your case, please feel free to reach us at [email protected].

Consumer support for this product was awful. They refuse to ship to military addresses and will attempt to charge you additional fee's even though military addresses are listed on their own website drop down. For an "advanced technology" company they can't even ensure continuity with their own website.
