Useful Conversate feature, but overall not worth the money
After a few months of using the Even G2 glasses, Conversate is the feature I have found genuinely useful. The other features sound promising, but in my everyday experience they have not been as useful as they initially appeared.
The free developer option also sounded appealing. I spent considerable time trying custom apps, but I found the experience impractical for daily use. Being able to build something is appealing; getting it to work consistently and conveniently is what matters when you actually wear the glasses.
Managing my Conversate records has also been frustrating. Individual exports are available, but there is no convenient bulk-export option. Despite repeatedly contacting support and receiving a promise that they would prepare a complete export, I am still waiting.
I wanted to like these glasses, and Conversate does have value. But after months of actual use, the limited everyday usefulness, impractical custom-app experience, and frustrating export process have left me disappointed. For me, they have not been worth the money.

Beware: ring is fragile!
The glasses are good when you have the ring. Unfortunately, the ring has no durability and shattered when clapping after less than a month of receiving. Even Reality did not stand behind their product calling it user error. Not even an offer to discount a replacement - nothing! We did have the option of paying $210 to ship it to them for inspection but then what- we are out even more money.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
We're glad to hear that you're happy with the glasses themselves. Regarding the damage to the ring, we typically assess it based on the actual condition of the product. For cases that require further confirmation, we also offer the option of returning the item for inspection, and how the related costs are handled will be based on the final inspection results.
If you have any questions about your case, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].
Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Cool but support dooms it
The G2 glasses are cool and useful in a very niche approach when it comes to the conversate mode. Also having the ability to quickly ask the Even AI a question is also cool. The minimalist approach to the design and no camera helps make it feel less intrusive too.
The support is where things start to fall apart. If you happen to purchase them used and need to send them in for new lenses, you’re going to be referred to a third party. So if you want to have your prescriptions changed on the lenses or add to one that never had. Things won’t go too great. Without the prescription for every day use the glasses just turn into a really expensive niche gadget.

Thank you for your feedback.
We're glad to hear that you enjoy the G2's conversate, Even AI, and its minimalist, camera-free design.
Regarding lens replacement, since different purchase channels correspond to different after-sales service processes, glasses purchased through an offline store will need to have their lens replacement handled with the assistance of the original store. If you purchased a pre-owned product, we recommend reaching out to the original buyer or the original store so that the follow-up service can be completed more smoothly.
If you would like to learn more about the relevant policy or have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].

Poor Service caused my order to be almost worthless
Update: I received my glasses the last day before leaving on my trip. They were sent by the slowest cross-country delivery company, not at all expedited. It they had spent the $20 refund they gave me on expediting delivery, I would have been impressed. As it is, I still doubt support did anything but try to soothe me and refund $20. And yes, they do work great.
Original: I ordered the G2 with prescription lenses 5-1/2 weeks before a "trip of a lifetime" through Europe. I have just found out that they will finally be delivered after I leave. When I ordered, it said 2 to 3 weeks. I only read reviews about the glasses being great, but not the reviews about how bad support is. A great and expensive product with poor support is not a wise investment for me.

Poor quality and expensive
Potential Even Realities customers should be aware of my experience with the R1 ring: despite being used normally, with no major drops or visible impact marks, the ceramic exterior developed a crack, which raises serious concerns about how fragile and unsuitable for everyday use this expensive accessory may be. After reviewing photos and videos, Even Realities classified the damage as accidental or “human damage,” refused to replace the ring under warranty, and instead suggested that I purchase another one with only a $20 discount. This is particularly disappointing because the R1 is intended to function as an important controller for the glasses, yet the company offered no meaningful replacement solution when it cracked. In addition, the Even Realities phone app is consistently affected by bugs, and I frequently experience disconnections between the glasses, phone, and ring, making the entire system unreliable. With cheaper competing products now available that may offer better reliability, durability, and overall value, prospective customers should carefully consider the R1 ring’s fragility, the limited warranty coverage, and the ongoing software and connectivity problems before purchasing.

As a IT professional and developer
As a IT professional and developer, I was genuinely excited to test the Even Realities G2 glasses. I bought them hoping for a discreet, contextual AI assistant that could support real-time translation and professional workflows. Unfortunately, after two weeks of rigorous testing, I decided to return them.
Here is my technical breakdown of why the G2 feels like a premium prototype that was rushed to market.
The Good: Optics and Wearability
To be fair, the hardware design team has done a commendable job. The glasses are remarkably light, socially acceptable, and look like normal premium eyewear. The waveguide display is crisp, and the charging case feels sleek and well designed. From a pure hardware perspective, the G2 proves that display-enabled smart glasses can be wearable.
However, a smart device is only as good as the software ecosystem supporting it, and this is where the G2 falls short.
The Technical Dealbreakers
The Infinite “AI Server Error” Loop
The core selling point of these glasses is their AI functionality. In practice, however, the backend architecture felt highly unstable. I was repeatedly hit with “AI Server Error” prompts. For a device that relies on cloud-native processing, unstable server infrastructure means the glasses can quickly become an expensive, non-functional piece of hardware.
Extreme Latency in Real-Time Translation
Living in Sweden, I heavily tested the real-time translation feature. The latency was too high for real-world conversations. By the time the system processed the audio, generated the translation, and projected it onto the lens, the conversation had already moved forward.
Poor Acoustic Performance and Microphone Sensitivity
The marketing suggests a discreet AI assistant. However, in my experience, the microphone array struggled to register low-volume speech or whispers. To get the AI to recognize commands, I often had to speak at a normal or loud volume, which defeats the purpose of a discreet wearable in professional or public settings.
False Ecosystem Promises: The BYOA Illusion
Even Realities markets concepts such as “Bring Your Own Agent” and connecting your own AI stack. However, when I contacted technical support, I was told there is currently no private API access or true developer mode. In practice, users appear to be locked into Even Realities’ own model-switching system rather than being able to connect their own AI infrastructure.
The Customer Experience and Return Process
The customer experience was also frustrating. While I was trying to resolve my return request and clarify my EU 14-day return rights, I received an automated marketing email promoting “Trust, Context, and Privacy.” The contrast between the marketing message and the support experience felt disconnected.
If you request a return, be prepared for a long email chain. In my case, support initially pointed to temporary server outages and hardware design limitations rather than acknowledging the practical problems I experienced. After strong pushback and reminders about credit card protection, they eventually waived the restocking fee, but they still deducted €30 for return shipping.
The Even Realities G2 is a classic case of hardware being far ahead of software. If you are looking for a reliable, production-ready AI companion, this is not it yet. The cloud infrastructure feels fragile, the AI features are sluggish, and the support process is more defensive than customer-focused.

Horrible customer service
The glasses are awesome have no real complaints about them. But their customer service is absolutely horrible no way to contact them via the phone takes 24 hours to get an email response and then they don't even answer the question you're asking. I admittedly messed up when ordering them. I used the wrong payment method and was trying to just pay with a different method when I email them about this they responded by saying they canceled my order. I responded back with I didn't want my order cancel I just want to change my payment method did not get a response for a whole day so I ordered another pair of glasses it is now been 8 days since the order was canceled and I had still not got the money back. Just noticed an email asking if I wanted to cancel my first order. Now they're saying it's going to be another seven business days before I get my money back.
