This litter box is terrible. It quit working within 6 months. It started making a loud noise while raking the litter and eventually stopped working all together. The litter leaks out the sides. Good luck talking to or getting a response from this company. I will never buy this brand again. Waste of money. No wonder it always has a coupon for dollars off

Worst robot machine ever. Scoped work on at side of leaving the pee piled but the worse part is the litter comes off the separations for the red pieces of rubber and constantly after every scoop spills lots of litter throughout the sides . I DEFENITLY DONT RECOMMENDED FOR THE PRICE. To expensive

I've been using this litterbox box since March 8th, 2024. It did come with extra bags, rake, and foam pieces. It definitely beats constantly scooping the litterbox, although there is still scooping involved. A lot less, though. Depending on the litter used, there will be little pieces of dirty litter the rake misses. I like this litterbox for the most part, but there are some annoyances. I had no idea the clear liner in the bottom of the pan was not suppose to be removed. There is a sticker, but the machine comes almost completely together so you don't see that sticker while removing all the other packaging foam, plastic, tape, etc. It's not shown anywhere besides a hidden sticker to leave the tray plastic liner in place. This has been an extreme annoyance for me because I've had to find something to replace it with (contact paper, but have to change it when the cats pull it up while covering their mess) so it helps the dirty litter not stick to the bottom when the machine scoops. There is a gap on the bottom of the pedestal part. Cat litter gets on the floor underneath instead of in the holder part of the pedestal. I could push the pedestal in farther to avoid this, but then there's barely any of the leak pedestal showing. It's easy to just vacuum up, however, and there's a cat mat I place underneath. I've had to tape in the red cushion pieces because they fall out or cat's are able to paw them out no matter how they are adjusted. I never fill past the fill line, but the first rake broke within the first year. The second rake currently has 2 pieces broke off, and I can't replace this part without paying over $50. I clean the box regularly, have always put the recommended amount of litter in, and it scoops after each time a cat uses the litterbox so I can confidently say the rakes have not broken due to user error. I don't regret my purchase. It still beats having to scoop by hand daily. I haven't used the clock or sleep function. I found the app is kind of useless. It's made for one cat. I hardly ever open it unless I need to do a manual scoop. Something important to note: you need to keep the box because in order to return the machine if anything is wrong with it or you just dont like it you need the original packaging. Make sure you read all return terms. I got my machine for $275 during a sale els pet had. Even if I had to return it, I probably wouldn't. The fees they would charge vs. what I paid just wouldn't be worth it. This is an updated review on June 1, 2026

All you customers giving good reviews on the ELS automatic litter box I look forward to you coming back and giving a bad review because this product is crap and the company is aware of this. I have my receipt and a video showing the malfunctioning machine… For a refund I was told it was passed 90 days ( don’t remember reading that when I purchased it) but they would grant the refund I just need to send them machine back to where ? I don’t know china ? Anyway it would $200 and no guarantee I will get my $360 back so anyway I need to go and give my honest bad review on a few other formats…

We bought the Elspet litter box and it didn’t work for a second. They made us send them videos, showing that it didn’t work. We had to send them videos twice by their request. They refused to give us a refund. They are selling defective products. I contacted them on April 11th and 15th and in May. My order was placed April 1, 2024.

I received and installed an els pet spaceship self cleaning litter box on 08May2024. Installation was successful as the pedal beeped, and the indicator light was solid blue. Within 24 hours, the machine shut off and would not turn on again. I didn't even get to use it once. I have contacted your support several times (through two email addresses and through facebook), but they have either ignored me or been extremely unhelpful. I am seeking a full refund and return. I am not interested in repairing the device.

I purchased this product in late February, for a maine coon and a dsh. Great size for the MC. Delivery was fast and communication was excellent. I'm not that good setting stuff up, but managed this when i concentrated, although couldn't get the wifi bit to work, definately not a strength of mine all this hitech stuff, but that wasn't super important to me, although I'm sure most of you won't have a problem. My wifi reception where it is is probably the contributing factor. My life has changed. The cats took to it instantly. I like the ultra violet light that deals with the odour before the machine cycles. You can set the machine cycle times though. I like to wait so that the clumping has formed so it works properly . The only thing that could be improved is the size of the waste tray. I find im emptying it every 2nd or 3rd day. But that's an improvement on scooping litter 2 or more x per day, with a scoop that you are trying to wrangle waste into a bag and inevitably having to sweep afterwards. And, tbh, until they find a way to get the waste to the rubbish bin, any auto litter box still has to be emptied, and they all have their pros and cons. So, it worked perfectly, for nearly 3 months, when the door jammed in front of the rake. I contacted els directly, and i can tell you they were fantastic. Sent instructions to reset after i sent a video. I couldn't figure it out tbh,..... i did say I'm not that clued up with things😂. Anyway, ELS were fabulous and a new machine arrived in 2 days. I'm yet to set it up but i have no hesitation in recommending it. It is very difficult nowadays to find an honest company that goes above and beyond to satisfy customers. It's at a good price point, compared to say the litter robot. Comes with some spare bits as well. Give it a try, I'm a fan
