Rented a few times and always had a new or nearly new RV. I pick up and drop off at the Santa Cruz, Ca and have always had excellent service and experience.

Motor home was subpar. Going over some rough road the MH starting falling apart. Fender fell off and the other one was loose. Shower leaked drenching our clothes during a rain storm. Finally' we got in a minor accident where a semi trailer hit the MH. It was the other vehicles fault. We provided your company with all the insurance info from the other veh. Your company did not pursue damages from them but chose to take the damages from our deposit. Said we could pursue if we wanted. Extremely poor service and customer relations. I will never use or recommend your company again.
Response from El Monte RVFeb 26, 2026
Hi there, We’re very sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the motorhome and the frustration that followed. The condition concerns you described — from the fenders to the shower leak — are not the level of reliability we aim to provide, and we understand how upsetting it must have been to deal with those problems during your trip. We’re also sorry for the frustration around the post‑trip damage process. We know how important clear communication and fair handling are, especially in situations involving another party’s insurance. Your feedback makes it clear we need to improve how we support guests through these situations, and we’re reviewing this internally to prevent similar experiences in the future. Thank you for taking the time to share what happened. Your feedback is important, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention.

I rented a motorhome for the second time. The first time was a very good experience, the second not so much. The motorhome was very old and worn out; the bathroom was leaking water from the shower, and the toilet was also leaking. Inside the motorhome, the front panel behind the steering wheel was all loose, shaking throughout the entire trip.
Response from El Monte RVFeb 27, 2026
Hi there, We’re glad to hear your first rental went well, and we’re sorry the second experience didn’t match that. The issues you experienced are not the level of reliability we aim to provide, and we understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with those problems throughout your trip. We appreciate you sharing both the positive past experience and the challenges this time. Feedback like this helps us improve the consistency and quality of our vehicles for future guests.
