uk visitor- we had a great experience with both the pick up in Las Vegas and drop off in Los Angeles. Very helpful as it was our first RV. We paid for an early pick up which I would recommend. I would use them again definitely. They also let us have a bbq delivered there from Walmart. Thank you.

be aware that the contract they make you it is a scam. they esclude from the insurance any glass damages then when u are back they magically find a
little spot of 1 millimetre on the glass and they make u pay 2.5 k.

please if u had the same experience share it with me ! we could find a lawyer to help us. a total scam .

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
We paid for 5 days, but were told we cannot pick up the vehicle til after 1pm on the first day because it would not be ready yet. We showed up at 3pm, and they were still replacing a tire, told us it would take another 20 mins, we waited another 2.5 hours. This was the first sign that they did not value our time.
After our long weekend, we were 3 hrs into our 4.5 hr drive home when 2 back tires blew. We were told about their roadside assistance at pickup, so initially we were not concerned, we assumed help would be on the way promptly.
The initial phone call they told us we would receive a text with an ETA soon. Our family had stopped to help, but since we were told someone would be on the way soon, they went home.

9:48 FIRST CALL BACK FROM ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE! (4 hours later) Asked for mileage, told us to hide the keys, said to get everything & everyone out of the RV. They were going to tow it. With NO resolution on how we were going to be able to get home with 5 adults, 4 children and 3 dogs. Ending the conversation with “Have a good night.” - 2 mins
10:16 incoming from tow truck company - 2 mins
10:18 outgoing panicked phone calls to friends & family til we found someone to help us
We were trapped in the middle of nowhere off US93. In the Nevada desert during summer, with monsoon storms all around us. Only 1 person having cell phone service. Vehicles driving passed us at 70mph + all night. We were all on edge.
It took us another few hours to get home. We had to call numerous people to find a way to get 12 of us home (INCLUDING CHILDREN AND DOGS), plus all of our gear. Sitting on the side of the highway in the pitch black of the night.
We arrived at home after 1:30am We were forced to throw away hundreds of dollars in food. Our relaxing camping vacation with family was ruined by the stride assistance.
We went to there in person as soon as they opened at 8am the next morning. They informed us that we could be held liable for the tires, and that they couldn’t close out our account until they received notification from the dealership on fault, mileage and generator hours.
The staff there did not offer any compensation, no apologies. In fact.. One of the employees felt the need to point out that we had used cuss words twice… Not taking into account the pure frustration and lack of sleep we had been experiencing from this entire situation.
We left after being told we would be called by noon, so they could speak with the dealership first. When they did call all they had to say is that our security deposit would be deposited back into our acct, but made sure to mention that WE should have been held liable for the tires. They claimed they needed to wait to get the mileage & generator hours from the dealership, but we actually received a phone call from that dealership asking us where we had hidden the keys, 2 hours after they had called us with their “resolution”. So clearly they were just buying time and wanted us to leave the premises.
They put my entire family at risk in so many ways. By sending us on our way with bald tires, having only fixed 1 of them. By leaving us stranded on the side of the highway for hours without any regard for any of our well being. The tire company had at least asked if we were safe, El Monte did not.
If they had just told us from the beginning that they couldn’t offer us any help, we could have made arrangements to be home a lot sooner than we were. Instead they had no regard for our time or safety.
No other compensation. No apologies. Still paid full price for the trip. I think that is extremely unacceptable.
I will obviously never use them again, and will be sure that anyone I know will not use them either. I only hope my reviews will keep people informed so no other families are put at risk of a serious accident, or being stranded in the middle of nowhere, during a desert summer.

Worth RV experience ever
Worth RV experience ever. They took out 2 days from your renting. You get the RV with luck ready to leave around 3pm or 4pm (appointment was at 1pm). We talked to others with the same issue. RV had a water leak. Repair costs another full day (2 time over 3 hours waiting line to get somebody on the phone). They just tell you b...s... At the end we had to find somebody ourself to fix the water tank. Today was checkout. Nightmare. They want you to come between 9 and 11am. Nobody available to check out for almost an hour. But every 3 min somebody bother you to wear a mask. That person even threaten us they call the police if we dont put that mask on. Finally they decided to take our keys, paperwork and we go. I bet its not over yet. You need an RV. Do yourself a favor. NEVER EVER THINK ABOUT EL MONTE - RIP OFF, RUDE, POOR QUALITY and ...

El Monte RV Rentals
RV Share sounds like AirBNB for Rvs , its not which is why I do not recomend them.
My owner who went by the handle of RV R was in fact El Monte RV Rentals , that fact was only revealed days before my rental pick up .
Why would El Monte hide behind" RV R " and use RV Share platform, I can only assume because it confuses consumers and allows them to charge exorbitant mileage and insurance charges when you reach the rental counter.
RV Share implies that you are covered under their insurance policy, details of which are included with your reservation.
No apparently not according to El Monte, who also implied I had made an error in booking through RV Share, "you are lucky to have had this rental many times RV Share dont send bookings through to us ".
The owner contact number provided was incorrect and it took several calls to RV Share to get a valid number.
I suspect that was a deliberate attempt by El Monte to prevent consumers from contacting them in advance , only a manager at RV Share could offer any help.
Watch out for the El Monte VIP insurance with a $1000 deductible payable in advance , more opportunities to be taken advantage off because coverage is limited and repair costs insanely high.
Go direct to a RV rental company and avoid RV Share and El Monte

superb service at Vegas-location
superb service at Vegas-location. As well from imoova, the "brooker". Only at return a smaller issue, what we did not understood. But in both locations very good protection against the corona-virus.

El Monte Dublin: “profit over integrity”
We have just returned our RV to El Monte SF. We have rented with them one time before in LA which was ok, but this time we had a really bad renting experience.
If you have issues they take no responsibility.
When explaining our issues with the RV (our batteries broke down after 2 days, meaning we had no power for the fridge etc), we were met with disclaimers and blame. Instead of listening to the issue, their sole agenda was to blame us and make us at fault. “We had used the batteries too much” (which by the way in their view is using the lights for than 40 min..), “we had not called them” (there is no signal at Burning Man), “we had not charged the batteries” (just drove 5 hours and the batteries were still not working). Bottom line is that our RV was clearly faulty and instead of listening to the issues El Monte Dublin was extremely arrogant and referring to disclaimers (you have to sign beforehand).
In general be prepared to be milked by all kinds of extra fees. Especially the extra cleaning fee if you go to Burning Man. El Monte charges $750. You can have the entire RV properly cleaned for around $200 in Reno).
