Like many people I have found the EGO powerplus tools impressive at first, but the batteries are failing so frequently that I am in almost weekly contact with the EGO UK support (actually outsourced to a company called Henton & Chattell Ltd). Because I am still in the 2 year professional warranty period they have been excellent at sending out replacements, but even a brand new battery I received didn't charge on the rapid charger until I had tried 5 times. I have asked several times whether EGO are investigating the problem, but never receive any answers. I also emailed EGO direct and never got a reply. What happens when my warranty runs out?! Am I facing a huge cost to continuously replace/repair expensive batteries just so I can keep using my kit and keep my gardening business going? EGO power beyond belief is actually more like unreliable beyond belief. Do I start looking at a more reliable brand like Stihl or Husqvana?

Bought expensive mower. Battery degraded to 23 minutes run time after only 16 uses. Called for warranty service they made me jump through many hoops then told me they would send a replacement. Replacement has not arrived after two weeks of waiting. I bought this expensive mower based on reviews that said it was more reliable and better than gas. It is not reliable and the cut quality is bad too.

A 10 cent nut failed on my mower after one season of light use rendering my mower useless. Called customer service and they were more concerned with the receipt for the purchase (which I had) than actually solving my problem, not to mention my grass that was half cut. Total lack of empathy or professionalism. I requested a supervisor call back and am still waiting on that. Called back to check on the status of the case and mid conversation they disconnected me and didn't even bother calling me back. Buyer beware, the product might work fine for a while but don't expect any level of reasonable support when something goes wrong.

My string trimmer's switch stopped working. I have tried calling customer support. The first time, I left a call back number. They called me back, which put me on hold again? I hung up because I didn't have time to sit on hold right then. I called back the next day and just waited for someone to answer. When they finally answered, they hung up on me after saying hello. I'm not sure what else I can do. There doesn't seem to be any other way to contact the company.

I have a 21 inch xp lawnmower that I bought in May of 21. This year when I went to use it the yellow light kept coming on and it would not turn over. Being a 61 year old female with a lot of grass to cut this was the perfect mower as it was light, easy to maneuver and did a great job cutting the grass. I did buy a 2nd 7.5 amp battery as 1 battery was not enough to cut the entire property. Followed all troubleshooting guides and still nothing. I called customer service over a week ago ​and tried 3 times and different hours of different days and was on hold for over 70 minutes each time before I hung up. The 3rd call I asked for a return call and never got one, so on May 13 I called right at 830 am and waited 30 minutes and finally was able to speak to a customer service representative who by the way was lovely. After she spent 15 or so minutes trying to find an authorized service place around where I live she concluded that there was none. Any service place was over an hour drive for me each way, so she told me they would send a replacement lawnmower and that it would be shipped out in 2 business days and I would receive a notice and I would have the replacement lawnmower in 8 to 10 business days. I've checked my account and the status of new lawmowerr still says waiting. When will this ship??? My grass needs to be cut now. If I knew that equipment service was this difficult I would have never purchased an ego. They sell them at rona in Welland only 20 minutes from my home and yet there is no one that services them closer than an hours drive. EGO please send me my replacement lawnmower as promised ASAP!!!!!

I initially loved all 4 of the ego tools I have but after having my largest battery (very expensive to replace) show a full red circle and not work at all in after only about a year, I won't be buying any others and will likely get rid of all Ego products I currently have. I called Ego support only to be told I'd need a receipt before they could help me with my problem... Ok, I understand the need for proof of purchase but given I've spent in excess of $2,000 on Ego products I'm sure there's a way to see I've purchased the battery after having me provide several serial numbers. I'm not looking for a freebie.. I just want it to work. If the batteries didn't cost $300-400 (Currently $550 on Amazon) I wouldn't be as upset and would likely just go buy another but this is ridiculous. I was just researching the new Ego zero turn mowers the other day... glad I didn't make the mistake of wasting my money on something that will be useless within a year with a warranty that is essentially worthless. I expected better from support... and also expected the product to last.

The battery for our 2 year old 56 volt EGO mower will not charge. The warranty is good for 3 years. Product Support agreed the battery is defective and they would replace under warranty. First told replacement would be sent in a week. Next call I was told it will take 2 weeks. Next call several weeks. I checked BBB and found 114 complaints that EGO does not honor their warranty. I expect I may have to buy a new $200 battery from Amazon.

EGo string timmer, works great when it does. Less than one summer season and had battery/charger problems. Took it back to Home Depot and had a hard time convincing them I wanted an exchange. Finally got it but was looked on with suspicion that I was trying to rip them off! New battery lasted less than another season and dead again. Thought I could just buy the higher amp one that'd last longer, but now Home Depot no longer carries anything of this brand. Places online that do, want more for the battery than the trimmer cost! And I'm learning that Ego, being Chinese, won't honor warranties. JUNK!
