As a technician I see way too many ego pieces of equipment in my shop for repair or replacement. They are very poorly designed, I have had many two stage snow blower gearbox failures and all types of ego equipment have experienced electrical failure. The concept for the equipment is great but poorly executed for real world application. These machines require better electrical components as well as a shear pin for the two stage blower impellers to allow for inevitable small impacts of hardened snow or small pieces of ice. Also I have experienced time and time again new units failed right out of the box. Time to go back and do some homework. I am not exaggerating when I say I have a near 1:1 sale to repair average. Almost every ego that goes out the door comes back for a failure. One more added note, the warranty process needs to be revised and simplified for better customer satisfaction. These issues have been occurring since the start of ego and I have yet to see improvement. Same problems with these units are still occurring as of Feb/2023
