Purchasing our zero turn 42in deck mower was a truly fun and exciting departure from the typical gas powered equipment. It was a good experience up to the point our mower needed some repairs. We were referred to the ONLY business in our area servicing Ego mowers. Our mower has been in need of repair since April 2024 and remains in the shop!! The needed parts are always and forever on "backorder". We needed new blades as part of the repair. I finally bought them myself at a local retail and delivered them to the repair shop. We are still waiting on our mower as the newly identified needed part is on "back order". It is now July 2024 with no confidence we will be using our mower this season. I cannot recommend you purchase an Ego mower as the warranty/repair process is TERRIBLE.

Unreliable product with terrible customer service
I bought my Ego lawn mower in April 2022 and began experiencing issues with a sensor in the handle which made the mower unusable. I contacted Ego for warranty service in December 2023 and my experience with them has been absolutely ridiculous.
I was sent to Lowes in Allen, TX 2 times to drop my mower for service, and each time I went over a month with no calls or updates just for it to be returned stating “mower powers on” which was not the stated warranty concern. In May I was sent to another repair facility (Ace) where my mower has sat without parts to repair.
Ego will not return my calls for assistance or a supervisor until his week when I was told they were having a part supplier issue. They will not replace the mower which doesn’t work, nor will they provide an ETA on part availability. They also will not reimburse me the hundreds of dollars I have had to spend for a company to service my yard as they do nothing for the mower. I have had to do all the legwork just to get an update which is pretty terrible from a service perspective. Especially for a mower barely over a year old.
Avoid this brand at all cost.

Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Extremely difficult to communicate with. A woman named ‘Karen ‘ laughed at my problem. Hedge trimmer only used 3X and the motor burnt up. I have spoke to 2 different representatives and have gotten absolutely no where. I will never buy or recommend EGO to anyone and unfortunately I have a lot of EGO tools. Batteries only last about a year and a half tops.

Poor Battery Quality
Poor Battery Quality - My snow blower battery went bad just a few weeks after the expiry of warranty and looks like this is a general trend among the newer EGO batteries. This winter has been mild and I didn't use it the entire season until the season-ending big snow storm. It was just a few weeks outside warranty and went bad. Horrible customer service....provide a senseless suggestion to buy a new battery - why would someone buy a product that would go bad just a few days after expiry of warranty.

Zero after sales service
I purchased a range of products and attempted to contact Ego Power for some after sales service. 3 emails to two different addresses published on their website contact details. Completed their on-line contact form once and sent a letter. Not one of these was acknowledged or responded to in any way. Very disappointing after sales.

Trimmer Head part not available for ST1510T for 3 months so far.
I would agree with Adam Wasserman's post. The self loading mechanism stops working after 2 months. To get it to work again you have to pay Ego 45 bucks for a new trimmer head. I own a ST1510T model from Ego. I have not been able to purchase a new trimmer head for the last 3 months, and they won't be available till August 2024. The customer service has been poor. I have a useless string trimmer, but I did notice that they are selling new ones at Lowe's, so they have the trimmer heads to sell on new machine purchases, just not to sell to the suckers who already purchased a trimmer

I initially bought a Ryobi EV lawnmower…
I initially bought a Ryobi EV lawnmower and found it to lightweight and it was hard to control. I returned it to Home Depot and bought an EGO lawnmower, with a 5 year warranty. I was thrilled with the difference between the two mowers. The EGO was heavier, the battery lasted longer, and it cut very well and was quiet. My neighbors liked the quiet part. I used it seasonally, just like everyone does. On the 4th year of use the speed control of the EGO EV mower began to act erratically. It would go full-speed, which I could not keep up with while mowing and then suddenly go to the slowest speed. Finally it just defaulted to full speed. I called EGO on the last month of the 5 year warranty. They indicated they didn't have a service center in my area and if I sent them the receipt of my purchase at Home Depot, they would replace my mower with a brand new mower - I was very happy. I went to Home Depot to get a copy of my receipt. The local store records only went back two years, so I had to call their Headquarters to get my receipt. They also told me they could not locate my receipt. I searched my computer for receipts and by luck found and electronic receipt from Home Depot with the purchase of the EGO lawnmower. I provided it to EGO Support and Warranty department, only to receive an email saying my case was closed and I had to contact them by phone. I contacted them again by phone and they told me my date of purchase was 'out of warranty', because it was 25 days from the time I had spoken with the EGO support team regarding the replacement of my mower. I then asked if I could take it to get it repaired. They again told me they had no repair shops in my area and the Loews would not help me send it to a authorized repair shop, because I had purchased the EGO mower at Home Depot. I asked for my case to be reopened and escalated to someone higher up in the decision or management of EGO and wanted to remain a loyal customer, because I liked the product. Overall, I cannot recommend EGO lawnmowers (made in China) and their company, as once your mower has an issue, they don't honor what they say. They don't have a good Service Repair coverage in the US. Most disappointing is I was told they would give me a new mower if I provided proof of purchase, which I did and then they decided to leave me with a mower than only works on high-speed and didn't honor their warranty. A 5-year warranty is from the month purchase to the end of the 5 year month your product was purchased. EGO stiffed me and I'm no longer an EGO customer. I'm going back to buy a gas mower that isn't made in China and purchase a US made product that is backed by a company that keeps their word and warranty promises. I expect a company who I paid top dollar for their product to treat me like I would treat them if I paid for 'the best' and highest cost product available when I purchased it. DON'T BUY FROM EGO - they will be a disappointment for you.

Promised part never delivered
I bought an Ego trimmer 6 weeks ago. The bump-out system to release line didn’t work. After troubleshooting over the phone, I was told Ego would send me a replacement ‘head’ within 10 days/2 weeks. As of now still no part, and after repeated calls to customer service there is no estimate of when the part will be available, only that they have ‘escalated’ the issue. There has been no offer of alternative solutions such as a refund or sending me a trimmer that works. I can’t return it since I am past the 30 day return window for Ace hardware, so am stuck with a $300 piece of junk.
