Ego 1903 lawn mower 4 months and will not start, took to the local agent for repair and it's a safety switch in handle, tried saying been to rough with handle, agent had mower 2 weeks when I got mower home fault still exists, Ego now want me to take back to agent but mower is not fit for use, you tube full of videos with mowers having same fault...cheap plastic mower ,with very poor back up warranty service, how does building crap becoming economical and good for the environment . Stay with AA good solid petrol mower which lasts 20 years and not 4 months

Awful batteries
Awful batteries! do not get involved with this awful brand. Their batteries that cost hundreds of $ die in 2 - 2.5 years and then the customer service refuses to do anything about it! Do not waste your money! I am extremely disappointing. There should be a law against this!

Battery lasts 3 yrs & will no longer charge. Customer service is deplorable, endless emails (asking for feedback when an issue is not yet resolved), calls that go nowhere, and Supervisors in “meetings”. Stay away!

Battery quit when warranty expired
My son gave me a blower, battery and charger for xmas 2021 for $193.77. Since online batteries reported to last ten years-purchased two more tools: chain saw and trimmer. The moment the battery warranty expired-battery gave up. Now have three tools worthless without a battery. Called EGO customer service twice - told me to kick rocks. 2025 battery costs $199 before tax-EGO will not stand behind their product or even give price break on a new battery-because that would cut into their gigantic profit margin. Will never purchase again. Go electric instead.

We purchase the power washer apr 27,2025, the unit came with faulty part, we created the warranty case with ego customer service may 13.2025, we drop the unit at service location, since that day we have been over the phone I don’t even know how many times and no part replacement no new unit has been sent although customer service manager Nikki said it’s only gonna take 5-10 business days, so whatever they told you over the phone or in emails is not true … the unit is about 1100$ no money no unit …

Initially, great concept...
Initially, I love the idea a quiet battery powered mower, and it worked well. So, I bought all the all the products, weed wacker, chainsaw, polesaw, blower, even that fan (mistake).
The tools themselves work great (I don't agree with the other complaints of the mower), the chainsaws are awesome, as is the blower.
The fan (is just a way to kill batteries faster)
The weed whacker, the self-feeding head failed early. Back during the supply-shortage days during the pandemic, they couldn't send me just the head, so sent me a new whacker. THAT head also failed in months.
I get along by playing some touch and go on the head to eventually get it to pull in the line.
But the worst of these products, is the BMS (battery management system). My batteries have all failed just under the warranty period luckily, but still, what a hassle. They either won't charge, OR they show full charge then red-light while using them.
I now have several batteries that are useless. I have Makita batteries that are 8+ years old!
Have bought a 10AH which was a hefty $550+, can't wait for that to fail.
My neighbor told me a couple of years ago that EGO was worse than Greenworks, but I have all this EGO plastic tools to throw away now?
Weed whackers self feeding failed

Your batteries have issues you give a 3…
Your batteries have issues you give a 3 year warranty and on the thirty seventh month they have issues.Your batteries are more than the tool. So you basically will have a 300$ maintenance fee every 3 yrs I feel that's not a value

Bad batteries
After two years or less my battery is defective won't run for more than ten minutes turns red, put on charger it lights turn red, always jumps to two bars of charge. Contacted Ego, they play a game and don't honor the warranty which was registered. A new battery cost $439. On top of $599. of mower. I will ill not buy Ego again.
