EGO's customer service and warranty departments are outsourced to overseas telephone operations. Although EGO promotes 5-year warranty on tools and 3-year on batteries, they do not stand behind their warranty. Their first position is denial. I tried communicating with CS twice and escalated to supervisor without satisfaction. Although EGO since my purchase of their string trimmer have made two upgrades that directly apply to my problem and my request for replacement of the head that is not accepting the manual load string replacement. Their answer, go buy a new trimmer.

So they really are liberally with the "up to " when it says how long the battery lasts... I have .5 acre and everything said up to .5 of an acre and 50 mins of run time per charge...ok I got maybe 30 mins on a charge and nowhere near .5 acre...it took me 5 charges to cut my grass and my grass is much shorter than on the commercials or what you see online...maybe my battery is faulty? I do love the product and how quiet and easy to use it is but the battery is less than desirable..

bought an EGO model LM2206SP 22" aluminum deck. The rear wheel differential doesn't always disengage making it difficult to turn the mower. I found that if the drive was turned off 12 to 24" before where you need to turn the differential would work but not all the time. Another hack that works is to turn off drive, lift front wheels up and shake mover right to left. EGO had me take the mower to a local service center. After a few months they said it was the way this mower is designed to work. since the service center took a few months mowing season was over and they said it would take quite a while to look at mower again as they were gearing up for snowblowers. So I figured I just need to live with this. However, I got to thinking folks looking t buy this EGO mower may want to know able this drive design

We purchased a combo mower with a battery and a promo at Lowe’s another battery came with the purchase in April. A few months later both batteries are not working, called customer service and they had me do some troubleshooting. One battery was supposed to ship a week and a half ago, never shipped then in the meantime the second battery stopped working. Now they’re shipping both batteries today as replacements. It’s hard to believe that both batteries with in three months have stopped working. Very odd.

I purchased an EGO trimmer expecting high quality and reliability, but unfortunately, I’ve had a frustrating experience. The battery got stuck on the trimmer and wouldn’t release, making it impossible to use or recharge. This seems like a serious design flaw. I reached out to customer service hoping for a quick and helpful resolution, but the support was disappointing. I didn’t receive clear guidance or timely assistance, and it felt like my concerns weren’t taken seriously. For a brand that markets itself as premium, this experience was far from it. I expected better product durability and customer care. I hope EGO improves both their product design and support services moving forward.

I love the product, however the battery after only 3 years is failing. Ego is an expensive brand and I would expect better for my investment. Replacement batteries are crazy expensive adding to the expense of using their products. If I had it to do over again, I probably would not purchase based on the battery failure.

This is my second lawnmower from EGO, the first one stopped running right after the warranty the most resent one stopped with the self propel feature I tried to go on the app and. It wouldn’t let me in. It kept saying an error has happened try again later. Which I did the next day and it happened again. I research it and it appears that they have a new app. Wouldn’t you think they would redirect you to the new app ? Anyway I got on and there is no record of any tools in my account. I was flabbergasted as it showed no tools on file . I have just about every tool they make and they all were registered with copies of the receipts. I called today the overseas support group and they said I needed the S/N of the lawnmower, charger and batteries that the lawnmowers came with for them to do anything. Or a receipt (which they already have) They lost all my info except for the first lawnmower thats out of warranty anyway I religiously registered every item. So they basically said Im screwed because I dont have the battery or charger (those are not even under warranty anymore and dont have anything to do with the mower no it wotking( I quit possibly through the battery out because they suck and dont last three years . I will never ever purchase another ego product. And I guess Il have a garage sale to sell the 8 tools, 12 batteries and snowblower Because I will not be a slave to them and keep buying tools and batteries to keep them working . This is their business plan. That is to get you to keep purchases g there inferior product. So its a never ending circle of money going out the door.

I purchased a EGO Power Station item #2546191 - $1099.00 on 06/19/25 from Lowe's. Contacted EGO Power+ about Bluetooth & Wifi not working and was told it was no longer supported.  Tried to return it and was told I needed a RA from EGO. EGO does not issue RAs therefore EGO does not warrant their products and is guilty of consumer fraud. I believe the only solution to the issue is a Civil Consumer Fraud Class Action Lawsuit.
