Absolute scammers. I requested a refund when I noticed a monthly payment was going out of my PayPal account. When I complained they said I should have read the small print and they don’t give refunds, even though I received nothing for 3 months. AVOID AT ALL COST

FULL BLOWN SCAM!! I received a pop up ad for Effecto, one year special for $25.99 in January 2025. I impulsively jumped on it, but was not impressed and wasn't using it. I didn't think about canceling since I had a full year to try it out. April of 2025 I got an email stating I would be charged $53.00 for.....?? What? I have no idea. I immediately emailed them back and said cancel my account, I have no documentation saying another charge would be made to my card, and they were NOT to charge my card for that amount. I received a response (after my card was charged.) and a blurry (unprofessional) screen shot saying their typical charges are $31 initially and $8.99 every 3 months. Neither of these amounts are what was charged to my card. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and with PayPal, they are currently being reviewed. But save yourself the trouble and do not wade into these waters! This is clearly a scam.

Have heard back from Effecto and apparently even though there is NOWHERE in the app you can cancel this subscription, according to their POLICY all payments are non refundable once processed. If i have ever had an app that was incorrectly kept after the subscription period i was refunded the money straight away no questions!!!!!

Zero stars & no refunds They do not allow subscription cancelation within the app so remember to contact them. Money for old rope, but then old rope can be useful this app wasn't

AVOID.... downloaded the app out of curiosity but never used it. Cancelled but subscription was charged. Emailed immediately to point out that I hadn't used it and asked for a refund but instead was met with incredibly dismissive and rude response (especially from Kate Nielsen) despite trying really hard to get some help. Considering it's a site for people with ADHD you'd think they'd be a bit gentler and more helpful. Other companies refund when this kind of thing happens, especially when they're immediately informed of the issue, but this company is obviously yet another one that's just happy to steal peoples money without giving them any service. I'm sick of these companies luring you in for a trail then making to so difficult to get out of again. I've been charge over £30 for something I never even used and didn't want. And to be met with such passive aggressive -response adds insult to injury. Edit- can’t reply directly to response below but I’ll reiterate I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR ANYTHING and that ive emailed 15 times and no response

The company are very underhanded the way they charge your credit card when you have deleted their app. This happened twice and I had to email them and they would not provide a refund. I would say that this is very dodgy dealing.
