I don’t recommend this builder!! I bought a new house in Florida…..They gave me my “new” house with 2 broken bathrooms making an addendum to complete in 30 days after closing. It's been 2 months since I closed and they haven't finished. the house finishes are poorly done, among others. I don’t recommend them!!!

I recently purchased new property from DR Horton, it was unfortunate that I didn't do homework about them. They are a Big scammers and put customers in dark. They have a tie up with DHI for mortgage who are rude and creates nightmare to customers asking documents which are not even relevant. IRS will also not ask such questions, but DHI will and DR will threaten customers, if not all documents are submitted, they will not refund the initial 15% paid amount. I am litterly going through bad experience with them, I promise to myself, I will stay away from them in future. I am writing this review, so others can be careful when dealing with them

It seems that many residents in Florida are telling people to stay away from this builder. There are always issues with them....best thing to do is to research your prospective builder and , if you have fallen for their lies as a buyer , continue to write , email their corporate office and consult an attorney for possible redress/ class action suit.

I will never purchase another DR Horton home nor would I ever suggest to friends/family to purchase a DR Horton home. I have lived in my home since April and had nothing but issues. Our Customer Care Coordinator, Carol Marks does a terrible job following up and making sure our requests our handled in a timely manner if even at all. I have a request that was submitted back in September that still hasn't been resolved. I have had multiple leak problems, issues with fans, now the AC unit, a large crack in the foundation on the outside of our home and still have an issue with our driveway that was notated in our closing documents that still hasn't been resolved. We have only lived in our home for seven months. The only thing that this neighborhood has going for them is there Superintendents, Joel and Jose. They have been excellent and always go above and beyond as best as they can.

This company does nothing to code. They didn't lay our sewer line properly, nor did they plumb the rest of the house correctly. We now are paying an astronomical amount of money to have it fixed because of leaks and sewer backup into the home. Shoddy workmanship. We've even had electrical problems due to shortcuts being taken. I would be embarrassed to death to do work this poor in quality, but for some reason, these builders can sleep at night knowing they left the homeowner with a crap job.

Nothing works. Build fast and cheap. No quality control. No. Communication between associates. They try and get you to believe it's not there fault. Disingenuous
