They built a dozen homes as part of a failed de opener project due to the economic crisis of 2008 . Not their fault The homes built are still in good condition and are aging as would be expect for homes 20 years old I purchased one of these homes a few years and have had a good experience with the quality and insulation. Not bad to heat and cool and the layout is very convenient for family living the little community is nice and I wish they would have been able to get a few more homes built to make our community larger Since then, the remaining lots were converted to farm land this is a plus for us though a few more neighbors would have been nice as well. If the price is right, I would recommend this builder for community living

Chris Mira our sales agent and Caleb our manager have been engaged early on here in Wesley Chapel and our neighbors here have been quite pleased overall

Bought the house last year about nine months ago,The house itself is in pretty good buy. My issue with DR Horton is with the carpeting in the house. I use a walker and the thresholds did not hold up. In our previous home I had the walker the and the carpeting was fine. I have 2 cats and Hortons guy said the cats caused it. The carpeting installer kind of snickered. They attempted to fix the carpeting, about 4 times. To no avail. So one final meeting where that brought a piece of paper that said no warranty on carpe. My question is if there was warranty why did they even attempt a repair. I spent a number of years running complex bi business and many time had to fix things that we didn’t cause. It’s called Goodwill. There fix created ill will. There were also times were I refused to do anything. I replaced the carpeting at me expense today. I still think Dr Horton is probably a good company. Their minions just didn’t right thing. So when anybody ask me about the house. What’s the first thing I tell them. Even it’s a new house get it inspected before signing up. I guess DR. Thinks I’m done with them but I’m not,,,,,
