I can't say enough about how great Dogtra collars are. (I just finally replaced my first collar that I owned for more than 10 years). I bought the 1902 and the battery life is amazing (especially since I can turn everything off when not using which the old collar did not do). My female weimeraner ran for over 6 hours with me and I never had to worry about not having her under my control. Thank you Dogtra for the piece of mind!

This collar does the job well for my Malinois. BUT, make sure you dont leave on too long because YES it will burn your dog. I was mortified the first time and realize you just cant leave it in same spot or on dog to long.

Hello Ms. Dwyer, Thank you for your feedback and we appreciate the effort and time in placing one for our company. We would like to provide you with some more information on our E-collars. Our E-collars are not designed to not emit any heat, if you hold the receiver collar in your hand and the receiver box is hot to the touch please send the system in for inspection. Dogtra units work on “static electricity” which has a very low amperage and does not have the ability to burn skin or tissue. If you are finding that your dog has sores this could be skin irritation or Pressure Necrosis. Your dog could possibly also have a reaction to the Stainless Steel Contact points and is having skin irritation or it could be Pressure Necrosis do to the unit being left on the dog for an extended period of time in the same location or if its put on too tight, we do recommend no more than eight hours a day. If this happens, it can collapse the blood vessels in the skin, when the tissue is starved for blood, ulcers will develop in this area. Most of the time, the dog will also experience hair loss in this area. These ulcers look like a burn to the untrained eye… and can even fool an experienced Veterinarian. We hope that this clarify any issues you are having and if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to give us a call at 1-888-811-9111. Again we would like to thank you for your feedback and we appreciate your time. Sincerely, Dogtra Company

Horrific customer service. A good product but the company doesn’t stand by it. We spent $800 on the three dog dogtra collars and one receiver broke after two months. Sent it back for repair, it took a month to get it back, and then it didn’t work...a new problem this time. Customer service will not replace the receiver. They want me to send it again. This is four months after spending $800 and they didn’t fix it. Do not buy from them. This is not how you treat a customer.

Hello Ms. Elmore, We are very sadden to hear or your dilemma but we very much appreciate your feedback in regards to your recent experience with our customer service department. Here at Dogtra we do aim to give the best customer service possible. We understand that this can be a frustrating situation but we do attempt to rectify any situation as swiftly and effectively as possible. I did look into your situation with the repair department and I was able to see that your 280C receiver was in our facility for repair. It looks like we received your system on 5/31/18 and was shipped back on 6/5/18. The system was in our facility for a total of 4 business days and the repair was covered under warranty. Our records indicate that you have spoken to one of our customer service representatives this morning and a return label was issued to have your receiver returned for inspection. I would like to reiterate that we appreciate your situation and we are more the happy to assist you. We stand behind our product but there are steps that must be taken to accomplish any resolution. The first step is to have the receiver in question back in for respected along with the charger. Please be aware that the system will have to be in our facility for at least 5 to 7 days. Once it is here our head technicians will complete a thorough inspection and will determine the next step of action to resolve the issue (which could include replacement). We hope you take the return label so we can look into your issue as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate in contact us. We bought the 282c primarily to correct barking. It has worked so well and we wish we hadn't waited so long! Thank you, Dogtra. cmb
