Scam scam scam run never do business with them they will take your money monthly and mentor claim without explanation

I purchased auto insurance with direct auto Saturday noonish and paid $146.45 on Saturday Feb. 22, 2025. On Monday Feb. 24, 2025 that morning I cancelled the policy, I received an refund check March 8, 2025 for $46.45. Customer service told me there was a $50.00 cancellation fee. I cancelled this policy within 48 hrs and this is all I'm going to be refunded. There's no way that this is accurate. I will be contacting everyone possibly to resolve this issue.

Y’all i literally got a cancellation letter to my home address saying they are cancelling me for not having proof of address. Mind you they sent it to my address and they also have my license which has my address on it. Please don’t get insurance from here they are a scam. Had the nerve to tell me what I gave wasn’t good enough but yet was able to mail me the notice.

I would leave 0 stars if I could worst company I have had in 33 years of driving would not let me make my 12 payment without paying for the 13 month that would have made me renew the policy so I canceled and went back to geigo they they sent me a bill for 93 dollars for early cancelation when it wouldn't let me pay for the last month which was not even due then said I was late and charged a late payment. What's wrong with the world

Worst customer service ever! I had my car shipment approved in the middle of the month, yet they billed me for the following month and even added extra charges for roadside assistance—something I never requested. This is unacceptable and feels like a shady way to squeeze more money out of customers. Be aware, be aware, be aware! Don’t fall for this insurance company’s tactics!”

I got Direct Auto in an emergency situation until I could find cheaper insurance. When I signed up the bill for two cars one with full coverage and the other with liability was over 280 down and a monthly payment of 360. I am married over 50 with ok credit. No major claims in the last 5 years. So the rate was horrible: I cancelled the insurance less than a month later and they said I owed them 110 dollars. That’s absurd the math doesn’t math. The difference in the days doesn’t equal 110 dollars. And they claimed I did not send them documents. When I got the assurance, they never asked for anything and less than two weeks later I called them and they still never asked for additional documentsS. All they want is money!!!! They are scammers!!

DO NOT EVER USE DIRECT! If I could leave a zero I would. When my car insurance automatically renewed, I was charged $70 extra putting my bank in the negative. Also, my 1st payment out of my bank, I was charged for the other 2 drivers in my house when I told them NO ONE DRIVES MY CAR. When I canceled & went to Geico, Ariel assured me it wouldn't come out. Guess what? It did that day & that's why my bank reversed it. My bank saw that it had NEVER came out that early. I called all the way up the latter of Direct. They didn't seem to care. Geico was $90 cheaper monthly. Ariel was always very nice but that's it period!

Direct Auto is a gimmick. They tried to add points to my drivers license to my quote originally quote. For the points they was charging me I sent documentation to there front office to show that the driver infractions were erased from my state dmv. Direct Auto wouldn’t change my quote. It’s a sucky insurance terrible. Do not believe their reviews and if you have them already try Geico they cut my payment from close to 800 to $411 a month. This insurance is a rip off you’ll see. Don’t get it. I cancelled the insurance and saved tremendously. Don’t settle people shop around.
