DICK'S Sporting GoodsReviews of dickssportinggoods.com

Purchased a new Lew's bait caster for my Grandson at the Dic's Sporting Goods in La Crosse, WI. on July 2nd. Took my Grandson fishing the following day. He hooked an average size pan fish and when reeling it in the rod snapped about 6" from the top. Took it back to the store the same day thinking it will be an easy exchange. I was told by the manager that they couldn't help me and that I would have to contact the manufacturer. What kind of retailer does this??!! I've since contacted Lew's (twice) and have not had heard back. I spend quite a bit of money yearly at Dic's. I will never return to this store.

Ordered and paid for hiking pants for curbside pickup. Item was listed as in stock. Checked on the order 12 hrs later, still not filled. Then it was abruptly cancelled via email with no other information other than “ out of stock”. Nice customer service. I tried to buy locally but was left hanging. I could have had the same item delivered to my door via Amazon in less time.

This is not a sporting goods store anymore They have absolutely nothing in the way of fishing gear or hunting. Small section for golf and baseball/football gear. Its mostly clothes now. They lost my business forever. I was going to get a couple of kayaks there. I won’t now. I will do my shopping at Bass Pro Shop for The kayaks. I will get the fishing gear/tackle there too if Walmart doesn't have what I need.

Lousy selection in the fishing tackle, I went in to buy line, lures, and rods. I walked out with nothing. Whoever is in charge of stocking that area should be fired today.

I purchased two e-z pop up tent replacements tops in feb 2020.got very sick and didnt check return policy, well they were advertised as 10'x 10' tops on sale.just out the hospital june 20 . get help to put them up for holiday open them up package says 10ft x 10ft slant leg tops all said and gone they are 8ft x 8 ft in small print on package. call customer service was told they would send right size free ,no shipping charges either. well the holiday is here now, no tent tops no follow up call to me about item or status of items , i don't blame customer service i blame management rep only follow their scripts. I will no longer do business with them .please thank reps on line.

I bought 2 Pelican kayaks. One came without a plug and scratches on bottom. I dont mind that it was used, but I do need a plug to keep water out. They do not have one, will not even try to get one for me, and said it was my responsibility to get a plug for the incomplete kayak they sold me. In otherwords, tough luck. I will never, ever guy anything from them again and if you do, no NOT expect any customer service.

Returned an item via Fedex. DSG received on 5/26/2020 When there wasn't a refund back on my original form of payment after 4 weeks, I chatted with a rep, the rep said refunds can take up to 90 days. When I said that wasn't on website anywhere, actually states 2-3 weeks after receipt of return. Rep told me I should just hold tight for 60 more days. Personal thought, maybe we shouldn't have to pay for good until we use them for 90 days. i will never shop at DSG again and I make sure to tell everyone i know the same.

I ordered sneakers online. They arrived in about 2 days. They were a little small, so I filled out the return online and brought them to a local store to return. The initial delivery of the sneaks and the refund to my credit card came faster than any purchase/return I've made in years, all during the pandemic. Hats off!
