I ordered some premium stretcher and crossbars from Blicks and they emailed me because my order did not add up. Come to find out I ordered the wrong size crossbars for my order and they caught it, and corrected it. Their emails to me where prompt, within the day, and I really appreciate the extra help they gave me on my questions and my order.

Had terrible experience with this company. Very bad comunication servivice and they made me lose lots of time to send me the shipping confirmation. At the end l cancelled my purchase and made it with Jacksons, they have excellent service and prices!

Second time this has happened with me with a large order but the second time was the last. ALSO. Very disappointed with the customer service I received both occasions in regards to my questions/concerns about my order. Wow. Is there not QA? With both orders, Items were shipped or not shipped without informing me before I could cancel shipping (ie middle of night). Some items were "backordered indefinitely". Frustrating because I was putting in large orders where I had to tweak projects around half ordered shipments. Some items were coming in two days later but instead of waiting they shipped the order. Had I been offered the option I would have cancelled said order or waited the two days so all or most of my items would have arrived. This last time I would have canceled the order but 1/3 of it had shipped already. Last time I will order from them :(

I have ordered supplies for myself online without issue, but they are terrible with customer service & gift cards during the holidays. I ordered a gift card for my niece on Christmas Eve. They put my order on hold & then would not release it until days after Christmas. Boo.

We are truly sorry for the delay. As an extra security measure for you and for us, certain criteria do trigger a manual security review on some orders that must be completed before the order can be processed. With the extremely high volume of orders that come in during this time of year, the manual reviews can take a little longer than usual to process. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Online order technology is at least 15 years out of date. I've placed orders in multiple years, but am yet to be able to order online due to extremely outdated and ignorant Dick Blick website technology. Thanks for the reply, but I am not the problem. I have a background in IT development. I have also done a lot of my shopping online for decades. I found another site with the exact same items at lower overall cost and better, functional technology that I am now using.

We are sorry to hear you are having difficulty using our website. We have made extensive upgrades and improvements to our website in the past several years including a number of enhancements based directly on customer feedback. We receive thousands of internet orders daily, placed without issue, so if you are experiencing problems trying to place an online order, we would be glad to know more so we can investigate. Please feel free to contact us anytime-we are happy to help! Thank you again for the feedback. We didn't mean to imply that you are the problem. We are not aware of any major or widespread issues at this time that would prevent anyone from placing orders online however and would truly like to know what issues you encountered so that we can check into them . We would be very grateful for your further input.

Dick Blick carries a huge range of brands. I only get to visit the Kansas City store when I travel and set aside an hour to go up and down each aisle and look at everything. So fun! Most of the time I order online. For the reviewers saying shipping is slow or merch is not complete during the pandemic, please raise your awareness!!! DB relies on manufacturers to have staff AND materials available to create the products that DB sells and you want to buy. In pandemic times, manufacturers are not getting what they need, so you have to be patient!

Thank you for your review Krista! Although we are not any happier about the delays and shortages created by this pandemic, our only recourse is to be patient. We appreciate your understanding and support!

Unfortunately there is no Dick Blick's store near me, so I work with them via online orders. I've been ordering from them for almost six years and found them consistently excellent in price, quality of product, and superb customer service. After dozens of orders I've had exactly ONE order that wasn't correct--and that one was immediately fixed when I contacted customer service. Blick's has some of the best online customer service out there. It's my go-to place for art supplies of all kinds.

Hi Meg- thank you for your review. While we strive for perfection, occasionally we fall short. And when we do, our goal is to do everything we can to make things right. We appreciate your understanding and are happy to have you for a loyal customer!

I ordered approximately $50.00 worth of textile paint. My order arrived in a box that contained the paint bottles loosely wrapped in bubble wrap. Two of the paint jars had leaked during shipment. I notified Blick and received a reply within a week. They assured me they would replace the two bottles that leaked. The replacement bottles were shipped and received. Once again the bottles had leaked during shipment. Clearly there is a problem with their packaging and/or shipping. In both cases I took pictures of the paint smeared bottles and the interior of the box. It has been at least two weeks and I have not be contacted regarding the second damaged shipment. I will no longer be purchasing art supplies from Blick.

Thank you for letting us know! We don't have a record of receiving your second notification that the reshipped paints also leaked and are very sorry for both the issue with the paint and that you've been waiting all this time for a response. Your experience definitely does not reflect the level of service we expect to provide and we hope you will accept our apology. We see that our customer care team has contacted you to arrange for a refund and are just awaiting further information from you in order to process it. Again, we are truly sorry for the issues with this order and hope you will give us another try in the future.
