Store price, online price, list price
If you a Blick “member,” you are promised the lowest Blick price, instore or on line. This is a bit of an illusion. I went to buy retouch varnish at my local store. It cost $16.99. On line the varnish is $12.95 (24% off list $17.19). Economy shipping is $9.95. Blick’s on line price is actually $22.90 (unit cost plus shipping). On account of the shipping the online line price will most likely never be lower than the in store price. In short, List price is $17.19, in store price is $16.99 and online price is $22.90. It’s a bit of bait and switch which is used to justify the in store price, which is in fact only 20 cents lower than the list price. So be care when you buy!

Hello! Thank you for your feedback. According to our FAQ page regarding pricing: Including all delivery charges from online purchases, the prices in our retail stores are equal to or lower than online pricing thanks to our Web Match Rebate program for our Preferred Customers. ALL retail transactions are processed through this program and if, after adding shipping and handling charges, a product could have been bought for less online, we provide a rebate for the difference between the two prices. From your description, that is what has happened. Your in store price is lower than the online price (including shipping costs.) This link provides a great visual explanation of this process: https://www.dickblick.com/stores/PreferredCustomers/
