Yesterday I made an appointment for a drive-thru antigen COVID Test.
Yesterday I made an appointment for a drive-thru Antigen COVID test on the CVS website. I selected a time from what was shown as available, received a confirmation number, and provided a credit card to pay for the test. I then received a wonderful video about how to prepare for the test. When I went to the drive-thru window, the pharmacy employee told me they stopped giving those tests a year and a half ago! She then explained that I would have to contact corporate customer service to make sure they did not charge my card. Great service, eh?

Nimfa, My Friend at My Corner CVS
Nimfa, my friend at my corner CVS, was a pleasure to see this evening! Nimfa's packing of my many-item purchase, was, what I call, a work of genius! And it all fit smoothly in my four-wheel cart.

These people will steal you substance…
These people will steal you controlled substance and blame you for it. They’re thieves and junkies, otherwise they wouldn’t steal. I filed a police report and everything to no avail. The system is set up for you to be a victim and cvs relishes in it.

I echo everything previously said about…
I echo everything previously said about the new CVS phone system! There is no way to reach a pharmacist directly and while you're trying to do so, the system has you going around in circles until you feel like a raving homicidal maniac. And this is ONLY the phone system. The people who labor at the pharmacy itself are working hard at - and succeeding at - doing a great job! And they're nice!
But I just went on a Reddit Q&A about what it's actually like to work for a CVS store - pharmacy & in other areas - and it sounds like these poor guys are really up against it: shifting & patched-together schedules, understaffed and increasing amounts of work that need to get done more & more quickly. It sounds bad and since Rite Aid declared bankruptcy and since Walgreen's & CVS are closing hundreds of stores, it makes me wonder about what's really going on with these companies...

Trying to speak to a pharmacy rep about a prescription is the absolute hands down worst experience one could have when dealing with CVS and it is not just this store. It is systemic from corporate that will do everything in their power to keep you from speaking with someone in the pharmacy. This is not an indictment on the store employees because you actually can’t get through to one to speak with. This is all on CVS corporate

Automatic call system
When I called CVS pharmacy number, the automatic person would not put me through to the pharmacy when I needed to tell them to do a transfer to another location. She just kept repeating the same thing over and over again telling me that I could only leave my number for them to call me back. This complaint is just for your automatic system of calls not for the pharmacy itself because the pharmacy people are very nice.

Incompetent Pharmacy Service and Customer Care
The pharmacy that my mom uses was no longer able to honor the coupon cards (GoodRX) for her 2 current pain medications (she is 91), so I had to look elsewhere. Without insurance, the price was way to high without it, so I did some research on all of the discount cards, and they all listed CVS as having the best price. I'm never 100% confident that I am receiving the most up-to-date information, so I actually went to the pharmacy at 2469 Bay Area Blvd. in Houston to speak with a pharmacist myself. I was told that they could not give me the actual price until the prescription had been received by them (which I think was just them being too lazy to look it up since I had the drug name, dosage, number to be filled, etc.) but the woman that I spoke with did indicate that the price that I showed her would most likely be correct -- or at least close. This was on a Sunday.
I took my mom to the doctor the next day, Monday, and had her 2 prescriptions moved to this pharmacy -- and yes, I received a confirmation from the doctor's office that the prescriptions were sent that very day. What a HUGE mistake that was! Both were for pain and so this isn't medicine that can be delayed to be filled. Not having heard anything by Wednesday, I went in person to check on it. First, they had not even looked at it. Then they told me that with the patches, they showed they had enough in stock, but they couldn't locate all of them on the shelf, so they would only be able to fill 2/3 of it unless more were ordered and we waited. Then, the second one was for 180 pills and they only had FOUR! I asked if they were on order, and was told no, but they could order them that day. This should have been done the day the prescription arrived... not two days later. I wonder how long it would have taken if I hadn't come in person to check?
Then, after all of that, when one of the workers tried to apply the GoodRX coupon, the pharmacist stopped her and informed me that CVS was no longer able to honor the coupon for drugs of this type. I stated that I checked in-person on Sunday about the usage of the coupon and its actual price advantage, and he simply said that apparently that crew didn't know the policy and the information that I was given was incorrect.
Now, even though I went out of my way to make certain that I had all of the facts before I initiated the switch, I have to get back to my mom's doctor and have the prescription sent to an entirely different pharmacy and completely start over. What a bunch of incompetents that they have working there. As a result of the ignorance of the Sunday workers, my mom will be without her pain medication for at least an additional 2 - 3 days. Even if I had stayed with them, they were too unconcerned about simply doing their job that they hadn't even looked at the prescription and put it on order. It had been there for 2 days, and they knew they didn't have enough of either drug in stock, so why wasn't it placed on order right away? Their entire attitude was basically, "oh well..." All I can say is that I would NOT recommend this pharmacy to anyone who is wanting quality care and knowledgeable service. If this was my only choice, I would actually consider doing without whatever drugs I needed before I ever used them again. If there was less than a 1 star rating, I would have definitely given it. Take a look at their other ratings and you should definitely get the picture as to what is going on there. Highly NOT recommended!

3 times I was lied to when I could fill…
3 times I was lied to when I could fill my Tramadol. Finally today, Sat they then say mail has already run, this at 9am. Total lie. I pay for same day delivery & she thinks it is done by usps, wrong it's by a local delivery service. She asks if I want it on demand but still can't get it to me until Monday. I was out of this critical pain med 2 days ago because of cvs lies. I of course got upset & told her what I thought in not nice terms. I was provoked into this reaction to get rid of me. Every employee I've talked to at the store In Target at Fort Smith Arkansas & they all have this god attitude, that they control your drugs & they will give them to you when they want to not when they are due. She put my orders on hold. Anyway I told her to cancel everything & I'm done with her store. This idiot pharmacist calls me back 10 minutes later (on a cvs phone) and proceeds to cuss me out, LOL. I've been using this store for many years & have never been satisfied with them. They deserve a MINUS FIVE review
