The new checkout system is long and frustrating. Was adequate testing done for speed and usability before releasing this system? The interface takes too long to respond, and the steps to complete a simple transaction feel excessive. The waiting time to pickup a prescription is now longer than before.

CVS: Unreliable in ways that frankly, are stunning. Avoid.
My actual rating is zero (0) stars. They fail at their most important mandate, so, how can they get even one star?
What went wrong: for the sixth or seventh time in the past twelve months, CVS failed to have my needed prescription in stock. Note that I have been getting the same medication every single month for...wait for it...20 years. 20 years, and they can't figure out how to have this critical drug in stock.
I was able to fight my way to a three-day buffer supply, but again, during those three days, no word about the balance of the scrip. The way that they "serve" their customers, quite frankly, exemplifies a disgusting level of apathy and willful neglect.
Worse still, the customer service itself is appalling. I'll get a message like "we can't fill that. We'll let you know if something changes." #@$%@!! What! "if something changes". I told them I was unhappy with the message, so they called back and left the same msg "Sorry, we just don't have it"--click. I could go on and on with this but I'm not going to do so right now, I'll be writing forever.
How can they get better: That's a question for a different type of company. CVS is what it is, and they have never shown even the slightest interest in fixing any of the many problems in their act. They don't act like a company that takes its license to supply prescriptions seriously. So, quite simply, they should lose it. Apparently they want their identity to be that of a holding company, or a financial services company, or the like. They no longer have the right to claim to be a drug supplier. I state that as a fact; whether anything is done about it ever is a different matter. But that's my strong position in this case.
I would be very interested in being part of a class that presses some sort of action against CVS. That's what they merit, and that's all that can fix it.

Cudos for Brad at CVS pharmacy located…
Kudos for Brad at CVS pharmacy located at Target in Okemos Michigan. He helped me secure a prescription in Yucca Valley CA and clearly went above the call of duty. Thanks Brad and his team of diligent hard working staff.

The phone system could not be worse…but somehow they made it worse. And then when it doesn’t understands it hangs up. Truly rage bait. I hate this company.

Good at some locations but bad at others . So bad they close their drive through when it's extremely cold out.... FORCING you to go inside. They then think they can treat you any way they feel.

physician
I am a physician who called in a prescription twice on 1/8/26 after being unable to reach anyone by phone, leaving voicemail messages both times. When the patient’s wife went to this CVS pharmacy (number 8757) on the corner of Bonita Beach Road , Bonita Springs Fl, she was told no prescription had been received and then called me from her phone, during which I heard the pharmacist state she would not speak with me on the patient’s phone. I had them put me on speaker so the pharmacist could hear me and asked if she would speak to me and she refused . I told her when I call the store line I can't get through to her would she call me and she said no.
I then called the store line again and was again routed to voicemail. Due to the delay in patient care, I transferred the prescription to a nearby Walgreens pharmacy so the patient could receive treatment. The CVS pharmacist later acknowledged that she had received the called-in prescription but refused to provide her name. The store manager was contacted but did not assist in resolving the issue.
I am requesting an investigation and appropriate corrective action regarding this incident.
Desired Resolution:
Acknowledgment of the issue and assurance that corrective steps will be taken to prevent recurrence. If I had an employee like this I would terminate employment . Another employee Lilly Delzy was also inappropriate and very rude and would not put my call through .

Terrible place
Terrible place, they cannot do anything right. They give you the entirety wrong item and try to tell you it isn't their fault. Don't waste your time with them, go elsewhere. I had to.

Imagine spending over $25,000 annually…
Imagine spending over $25,000 annually on prescriptions and not being able to talk to a human being on a managerial level.
Store employees are rude and condescending, with no way to place meaningful complaints.
The CVS help center just takes messages and noone ever calls back.
I just imagine what would happen in any other business if they made this level of mistakes.
CVS, you have to do better and give customers a way to speak to managers when there is a problem.
