Walgreens has better customer service. I have to call CVS every time I need a refill and wait nearly an hour sometimes. I would rather deal with the automated system but they wont let me. So I spend my lunch at work on hold and sometimes I have to call back the next day because no one answers. When I eventually am forced to go in person for the refill, I watch them ignore the phone the whole time. They have a staff of ten people in the pharmacy and not one person can answer the phone. The rate at which they work is the speed of a turtle racing a snail.

I will give in this review CVS 0 stars. At all cost avoid getting any type of vaccine from CVS pharmacy. My experience at the CVS on sixth Avenue and 19th Street, Chelsea, New York. I got a vaccine September 10, 2020 and it has greatly compromised my health and still has my health compromised my health. On top of almost killing me. I got the Shringix vaccine but before getting it I asked the pharmacist look at my history look at what I’m taking is this going to interfere with anything whatsoever I have allergies I went down the whole list oh no no she kind of dismissed me and said you’re going to have a sore arm but besides that it’s fine I said can you please look at my records everything about me is in your files can you please look well it ended up I guess it was her lunchtime and I said listen I can come back please eat your lunch please I don’t want to interrupt she said don’t know wow before she gave me the injection I asked again is this going to do anything to me and again she said no I got the injection. Wasn’t told to stay around wasn’t told of any side effects nothing well I go to meet my partner and then I said I’m going to pass out so we went to his house not only did I pass out broke into a high fever went into convulsions he had to give me the EpiPen I had a mini stroke and ended up with blisters and rash All over my body I’ve been to the emergency room twice and now I am seeing specialist neurologist because of the severe side effects that I am now having since the vaccine if the pharmacist would of just listened and looked at my file she would’ve seen that by no means at all was I A candidate for the vaccine. My medical issues now or nonstop 24 hours a day my skin hypersensitive my nerve endings are on like high alert put put clothes on hurts that’s just one thing. I did call back to CVS and talk to the pharmacist she dismissed me and said she never heard of such a thing. Now I called not only to tell her of what had happened but also just for information before she decides to put something else to somebody else’s body and compromise them without giving it a second thought. If she would’ve only had read my record Khilo malpractice who is she to go ahead and put something into me that’s going to affect me for who knows how long now because some of it is believed to be permanent. So I called CVS and they put me in Touch with a David Lareau he does risk consultant I had told him what had happened I got two letters back from CVS the one statement has the wrong date I was in CVS has my name is spelt wrong has the wrong store I was in. And tells me he has received it carefully reviewed my claim and Cvs respectfully denies my claim at this time stating that the vaccine is covered underneath the childhood that scene injury act of 1986. Stating Cvs is not responsible. Trying to say it wasn’t the administrator that did something wrong it was the vaccine so I told him sir you are wrong the Shringrix vaccine it’s not covered underneath that act he lied to me I also went back to the CVS to show the pharmacist what she had done to me only to find out that the staff was very hesitant and telling me that she got transferred to another store and they don’t know where she went to we are reluctant to give me her name and her license number but I got it. Upon leaving I talk to another employee and Cvs and stated the situation that I just had had and he said pharmacist would love to make complaints get shipped out of the store usually into another one. So I left I walked into the CVS pharmacy on 25th St. and sixth Avenue we’re back to the pharmacist counter to inquire where this pharmacist could have been transferred to the pharmacist came over and I started pulling out a piece of paper with the pharmacist name before I could even say a word she starts getting confrontational told me she’s a good pharmacist she’s very very good and starts badgering me when I was just trying to ask a question and she said well she quit and then when I tried to respond Back to her she walked away and dismissed me and I said I still have questions she was so nasty so horrible deplorable I said is this how Cvs trains their pharmacist to dismiss people does CVS train the pharmacist that it’s OK to hurt people that the pharmacist have a right to change somebody’s life with a needle without even looking into any type of history. She gave me a dirty look walked away and by the way when I went into both of the Cvs that day I told everyone that it was recording just a heads up and I stated it twice and this is the way I was treated I am the one that is hurt and I am getting blamed for someone else’s unprofessionalism. Pharmacist or held in the same regard as doctors and nurses and are responsible for you. Also when asked for your birthday when you’re in the pharmacy only give the month in the day it’s illegal for them to ask you the year in front of everybody it’s a security issue. I am almost in tears writin

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY FOR MAIL ORDER. I am a senior who did not want to go to the pharmacy and used CVS mail order for a prescription on Jan 26. I received an E Mail telling me that my order should be received on Jan 28. Nothing received. Called CVS and told me there was nothing they could do and gave the USPS tracking number which showed that "USPS awaiting item" . So CVS charged me, cannot fill the prescription for me because it shows already filled and cannot locate the one they charged me for. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO. THEY MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THE DRUGS I NEED

Ill try to keep this professional but honestly ive never seen such a poorly ran pharmacy. I understand the guidelines on how medications need to be handled and who handles them, but my experience from the last 4 months is just arrogance. Its sad actually. Ive been prescribed one medication by a doctor since I was 15 years old. Im not proud of it. Im 26 now and plan to get off of it in the next year or two but in the meantime its still helping me get through my every day life. My point is, some of us suffer from mental illnesses that we are embaressed of and all of the staff at CVS pharmacy has not only refused me ow. Prescription, leaving me without for over 4 months now, but they also treat me like a child picking up something their not suppose to. And its embaressing. I switched from walgreens to cvs hoping I wouldnt have to be ashamed of myself picking up my own prescription anymore and its worse than ever. 4 months unmedicated. I went back this morning and was told again "your nArCoTic (again. Thanks.) Is still not in sock come back next month" and I drove away in tears because I was too embaressed to even stand up for myself and just said ok and left. This is awful

I Was looking for a product called Hibiclens and couldn’t find it. When I asked a stocker, Niresh (I know I’m messing up his name a little), he helped me find the product number online and then found it in the store no problem! Great customer service

Ill tell you what my girlfriend had 4 teeth pulled so i came to the cxs in Somerset pa they were to open at 9 but didn't until 10 after then the had me waiting til 930 & told me it would take a half hr to fill so i waited 1 hr to come back & was told I'll have to wait 20 mins more this whole time my woman was in the car suffering cause cvs DOESN'T seem to care about it's customers!!!!!!! I think its time to switch pharmacys

A 1.4 rating tells it all. Why don't the company do something to make this a better place to do business ? They don't know what they are doing most of the time and just don't care 90% of the time. Poor management! Wish I did not have to go to CVS, but insurance requires it.

I shopped at CVS in East Setauket around 5:30 pm today, I needed an à $69 dollar item behind the counter. There was a line of 3 people waiting to pay while the only cashier was helping people with their photo printing problems. I decided to look for several items hoping the line would ease. The manager was changing prices in the aisle. I asked her where to find an item, she sighed heavily and responded in a very annoyed voice. I went back to the front cashier, the lone employee was now helping another couple with a complicated photo problem. After waiting and waiting I asked if he could call for help up front, he ignored me then eventually told me to use the self check out. He called the manager to help with the photo customers, she was equally unhelpful to them. She also told me to use the self check out. After spending 20 minutes in the store, I finally just left my purchases on the counter and left (about $120) worth. Went up the road and shopped at a competitor. I love the pharmacy help at this CVS they are great. But the manager was not helpful nor was there enough help for that time of day. Ann
