Pharmacist threatens me at CVS
I called to refill my meds and they checked and said it was in stock. I was surprised because rarely is it ever in stock for all 8 boxes. I receive a text saying out of stock after just being told it is in stock. I call and they say they had 4 boxes but not the rest, okay so I can pick up a partial well no, we don't have any for you! I am confused, I asked to speak to pharmacist. She comes to phone, and I am asking what I need to do to fix this situation so that it doesn't continue to happen. She says I cannot have a substitution. Why, I am still confused. She tells me they don't have it and I need to call elsewhere, and I am asking why I can't have an alternative and she just hangs up the phone. Professional, right!? I go to CVS inside and take my RX with me that shows auto injector and substitutions allowed. I asked for the pharmacist, when she approaches, I tell her who I am and ask if she was the one that unprofessionally hung up on me and she says no. I said do you know who it was, she said no again. I am explaining and realize that yes, it was her that I spoke to. I stop and say you were the one I spoke with and hung up on me and he says yes, this time. I was not confrontational at all, I just wanted answers and my meds. They said I can only have cartridges and in my 25 years of filling this not once have I ever been prescribed a cartridge. I handed her my rx and she said that all the computer said was sumatriptan not carts or anything, then how is it I was filled cartridges, only? She fixes it and apologizes, and I asked why she lied to me when I asked if it was her that hung up on me and she said she didn't and I said yes you did and she said oh, well I thought I had answered your questions and I shouldn't have hung up. Again, I am being polite considering the issue at hand. So, she fills 2 boxes and orders the rest. I did make a complaint, and no one has reached out! I go to pick up the rest of the script on 11/10 and I am left waiting at the window 25min at least. The pharmacist Brian came to the window threatening me, saying if I was confrontational next month, I would not be given my medication. I am confused because I was just picking up and hadn't said anything confrontational. Come to find out he was angry I made a complaint about the other pharmacist that lied and hung up on me. I guess asking questions equals confrontational even though my life depends on a medication that they have entered incorrectly. So, as far as my previous 4star review, I am retracting it. CVS does not care about their patients' health and welfare whatsoever. Looks like a small hometown pharmacy is the best decision.
