I was skeptical about using this product at first. However, I decided to give it a shot because I’ve run out of options. Ever since masks have became a thing, my skin broke out on my jawline and all over my neck. I purchased Curology and when I tell you my skin got better within 5 days, I’m not kidding. I loved the moisturizer and my custom formula the best. The reason why im not giving 5 stars is because it says you get a “one month free trial” and thats not accurate. After two weeks, I ran out of all my products and unfortunately started to break out again 3 days after running out of my formula. Other than that, this has been the greatest product for my skin. I just suggest that if you see improvements in your skin, ship out your larger bottles sooner then they suggest so you dont start breaking out again.

This product has worked amazing for me
This product has worked amazing for me. Since 5th grade I've struggled with acne and the rest of my adult life my skin has had huge pores like all over my body everywhere! It's like my entire body was just one big blackhead. It's been a month and a half and my pores are shrinking. I'm so excited I found something that's done what I've been wanting my whole life. I cannot wait to see the progress within the next few weeks/months. Thank you Curology! I'm so grateful!!

I am a huge fan of Curology
I am a huge fan of Curology. I’ve dealt with hormonal acne since puberty. I’ve been on and off medications from my dermatologist for a long time, but had decided to ween myself off and was managing my acne. I then moved to a house that had hard water, and my skin broke out terribly. I made an appointment with my dermatologist, but they said (even as a patient there) it would be three months until I could see them. I had tried every product out there; salicylic acid irritated my skin, and benzoyl peroxide was worse and also stained my clothes. I felt desperate as my deep, painful pimples were causing hyperpigmentation marks. A friend recommended Curology, and I was very skeptical. I thought it was just another skin care regime like Proactive that uses benzoyl peroxide, but I decided to look into it. I took a skin quiz and let them know what issues I was having. I sent pictures of my skin, and then I was assigned to an actual medical professional. Curology is prescription medication that you cannot get in stores. When they prescribed my medication, I noticed two of the prescription ingredients have been prescribed to me in the past by my dermatologist. I had success with those medications and didn’t hesitate to order my first package. They sent me one “medication” bottle that contained azelaic acid, tretinoin, and clindamycin. I started with a low dosage so my skin could get used to the products without getting irritated. I was also sent a gentle face wash and moisturizer. I was able to only pay shipping for the first set to try it out. It took about six weeks for me to see improvement as they let you know ahead of time. After that, my skin continued to clear up fairly quickly. After a few months my skin was completely clear, except for a pimple here and there around my menstrual cycle. These pimples lasted a few days and cleared up without hyperpigmentation (as compared to pimples lasting a couple weeks prior to starting). I’ve been using Curology for almost a year now, and I have clear skin and softer complexion. I still have a few remaining hyperpigmentation marks that continue to fade. You will probably get the same results whether you use Curology or go to an office to see a dermatologist (in my experience), but Curology is so much easier. You don’t have to pay just to go to the appointment, you don’t have to leave your house, you don’t have to go in for a medication check like you would have to at a dermatology office, you can reach out to your provider via message with questions/concerns, and you don’t have to have health insurance. At the dermatologist I was prescribed two separate medication bottles, and Curology prescribed three different powerful ingredients in one bottle (ingredients based on your specific issues). When I finally went in to the dermatologist (I go in annually for mole checks), I told my dermatologist I wanted to stick with Curology as it was working and it was convenient (shipped right to my door). They said they would have prescribed the same products for me anyway, and said the pricing would be about the same. I was only planning to use Curology until my appointment, but had such great success with it (and loved all the convenient benefits). The only thing I didn’t like about Curology was that my face wash and moisturizer ran out faster as I was using those day and night. Therefore, I was ordering shipments more frequently and started storing way too many medication bottles. At this time they do not sell the moisturizer and cleanser separately from the medication, but my provider was very helpful and gave me suggestions. I found Vanicream moisturizer and face wash worked great for my sensitive skin and didn’t break me out. Now I just receive only the medication bottle that’s automatically sent once a month. I use it every night along with my Vanicream products and elta md sunscreen in the morning.
If you try Curology, you will have the option to buy the large bottle set (moisturizer, cleanser, and medication bottle) that ships every two months for $59.90 (tax included). They have two moisturizers: a light, thin moisturizer best for oily/normal skin, and a thick moisturizer for dry/aging skin. I loved both.
You could also choose to buy only the medication bottle. There is an option to get the small bottle once a month for $24.90 (tax included). You could also purchase the large bottle that ships every two months for $39.90 (tax included). These are good prices, from my experience, for prescription medications. I also felt like they were good prices as I never receive a medical bill and love the convenience.
They also now sell and acne body wash and pimple patches. I have not tried those.
I wanted to get this info out there for anyone wanting to know more about Curology from my personal experience.
Thanks!

I really see a big difference
I really see a big difference. It cleared the dark spots and I have not had a single pimple in 3 months for the first time. The only downside is that the product is too small and I will run out of it before returning to the US in March.

Hi Fatmata,
I'm glad Curology has worked so well for you! We recommend using a pea-sized amount in order to last until your next shipment, but if you are worried about running out, I'd recommend messaging your dermatology provider, as they'll be able to provide suggestions! 💜
I hope you continue having an amazing skincare journey.

Tried for a year, skin is worse than ever
I tried Curology for almost a year and kept waiting for my skin to get better. I tried 2 different "custom" formulas and my skin kept getting worse and worse. I will admit that about a month in my skin looked really good, but it was all downhill from there. It's also expensive considering I used the amount they suggested and still ran out about two weeks early every time. I really only tried this due to the convenience but now I have huge painful zits all over my face, my skin feels tight and dry even with their moisturizer, and my skin is worse than when I started it back in March 2020. Now I'm just hoping I was successful in cancelling my subscription since so many of the reviews say it's hard to actually cancel.

Hi Marley,
I'm sorry that you've been unhappy with your Curology experience and that it did not work for you! I understand how frustrating that might be. While Curology works for most, it might not be the best fit for everyone.
I do hope you do find what works for you! 💜

from a few pimples to a skin condition because of curology
I didn’t have terrible acne when i first started Curology. i had a few zits here and there but i still wanted them gone regardless. I started Curology in hopes to get rid of my acne and even some acne scars, but when i started using it, i went through the “purging phase.” I thought it would be over within a month but when i kept using it, my face got worse. it became dry, red, inflamed, and my regular acne turned into cystic acne. i told the dermatologist about the issues i was having and even submitted a few photos, and she claimed that i was still in the “purging phase.” well my “purging phase” lasted 5 months. i have stopped using Curology, and it’s been about 6 months since i’ve stopped using it, and my face is still in that horrible state of dry, itchy, redness and i have incredibly large cysts around my face and on my face. i’ve tried to use more products but i can’t find anything over the counter that helps with my skin condition.

Hi Brooke,
I'm sorry you've been unhappy with your Curology experience.
You're right, purging is common when starting a new skincare prescription, including Curology.
However, if purging is lasting for so long, a formula change might be necessary. If you haven't done so already, I would recommend reaching out to your dermatology provider as they'll be able to provide suggestions and change your formula.
With that said, if you do not find that our products are working for you, we completely understand, and you may be better served by an in-person dermatologist. If you need help finding an in-person dermatologist, you can ask your primary care physician or other local healthcare provider for a recommendation, or visit the American Academy of Dermatology site: https://www.aad.org/find-a-derm. We only want what’s best for you!
Hope this helps! 💜

The product is really basic
The product is really basic. A gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and a curated moisturizer based on your answers to an estimate. It's nothing life changing in my opinion especially because of the price. And like so many other people, I've noticed that you do not receive enough product, I end up running out and having to go to the store to buy another cleanser. I'll be cancelling my subscription because its just not worth it and I'm not seeing any results.

I've been using Curology for 2 months…
I've been using Curology for 2 months now, and I was first skeptical, but ultimately my skin has greatly improved.
Prior to treatment, I was dealing with ALOT of stubborn skin congestion, especially on the right side of my face. This is the first time I have ever used an acne prescription, and I must say that the first month was really rough, because all the deep down gunk had to work its way out.
However, with a bit of patience and proper continued usage, my skin overcame the big purge and now feels smooth to the touch and looks more lively a vibrant than ever before. I have combination skin that is extremely sensitive. I can't use most products on the market (even the gentle ones) because they either burn or clog my skin, but my Curology formula gave me no unexpected adverse reaction.
Also, I'd like to add that the consistency of moisturizer is really nice and leaves my skin hydrated, dewy, and fresh all day. Probably the best moisturizer I've ever used, to be honest.
