I have been using curology for about a year now. It has worked WONDERS on my acne prone skin. Their customer service is also amazing.

A good review to encourage you!
I’ve had acne since i was like 14, so almost 11 years. I’ve been on Doxycycline and Ampicillin, and used prescription retinol and anti fungals for said acne. My skin was pretty clear for a few years and then about 2 years ago it went downhill again.
I don’t get crazy cystic acne, but i swear every pore in my skin has a bump under it that i can feel when i touch my face, and the way it looked in direct lighting made it really hard for me to look in the mirror (sad, I know). I am a chronic skin picker and would try and clean every pore, i’ve tried all the products and different types of chemical exfoliants with no success.
About 3 months ago i cried to my partner that i felt like my skin made me ugly, and so i tried Curology. I was honestly so skeptical, because there are a lot of bad reviews, but within a week the congestion of my pores was slowly lessening. I just finished my first month and i haven’t felt this good about my skin in 5 years. I have absolutely no complaints.
I see many reviews here talking about how the provider didn’t loo at their medical history, but mine had a great conversation with me about surgery’s i’ve had, and some conditions i have and how they are treated. I told her some ingredients my skin doesn’t react well to and that was taken into account as well. It’s been a really good experience for me and i can’t help but wonder if all these people leaving the reviews are just those kinds of people who aren’t willing to work with a doctor who can find the right formula and treatment for them.
10/10, this product has helped me more than oral acne medication.

Hi Harshdeep,
I'm so sorry you've been unhappy with your Curology experience!
If you haven't already, I'd highly recommend messaging your Medical Provider as a formula change might be necessary. Your Medical Provider is also a great source for information, so feel free to message them if you have any questions as they'll be more than happy to offer suggestions.
Once again, I'm so sorry, but I hope this helps! 💜

Not worth the hassle and frustration
While I was very happy with the product itself, the shipping and customer service aspect of this company are awful. They are a subscription, mail-based company, and yet every single shipment was either delayed or lost in the mail. My January product was due to arrive on January 20th. Not only have I still not received it, but all three follow-up shipping attempts have resulted in failure. I have been without product since January, and the customer service team has made no effort to investigate the shipping breakdown or offer a new solution except to have me ship my package to an alternate address, which seems completely impractical as a long-term solution. They have no option for expediting their shipments, so if something goes wrong, the customer is forced to wait an additional 2-3 weeks for a replacement to arrive, or in my case, never arrive. It is not worth the hassle and the inconsistency. I will be searching for alternate skin care providers who have figured out their operations and can provide meaningful and effective solutions and customer service.
UPDATE: After three failed shipping attempts (all breaking down at the same point in the tracking process when DHL attempts to hand-off the parcel to USPS) Customer Service is now telling me that they will not attempt to ship another replacement unless I provide an alternate address and that my only other option is to cancel my account. What a way to make me feel valued as a customer, Curology.
UPDATE TO MY UPDATE: A package arrived today! (Just a meager 4 weeks late, or actually only 11 days, considering it was one of the replacements due to arrive on February 6th), but still!! I’m so relieved! Hooray! My address isn’t broken! I email my Curology customer service rep to inform them, and they respond saying, “Great! Your other packages will probably make their way to you at some point too, and since we want to make sure you’re not getting anything extra, we have pushed off your next shipment until July 15th.” Are... you joking?? Why would you do that? I have been without product for a month and the shipping has been a complete unreliable nightmare... why would you risk anything else being delayed? Why would you risk putting me, a VERY frustrated customer, in this position again?

JUST DONT
JUST DONT. I LITERALLY DID NOT HAVE ACNE UNTIL I GOT THE 1 MONTH TRIAL AND I WANTED TO SEE IF IT WOULD HELP MY SKIN TEXTURE AND IT LOOKS LIKE I AM HAVING AN ALLERGIC REACTION ALL OVER MY FREAKING BODY. I HAVE BUMPS EVERYWHERE AND I AM PISSED. THIS IS THE WORST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE.

Hi Bailey,
I'm so sorry you're experiencing this, I understand how frustrating that must be.
I'd recommend immediately stopping using your formula and messaging your Medical provider as they'll be able to provide suggestions and offer feedback.
Once again, I'm so sorry, but I hope this helps! 💜

I LOVE Curology..but...
I LOVE Curology... I think their formula is fantastic. The only reason that I gave 4 stars, instead of 5, is that I don't get a consistent amout of product out of each bottle. Sometimes my product is shorted.... sometimes extra. But, they have been really good about crediting me when I've gotten a scant bottle.

Faux dermatology.
Their advertising is highly misleading. I was not connected with an actual dermatologist, and they definitely did not read all that medical history they made me provide. If you happen to not have just “usual” acne (say you have another common skin condition too, such as rosacea) they will not catch it, even if you included it in your history, and they will not write you a prescription for anything additional. This is honestly ridiculous, they claim to be tailoring your therapy to you but they won’t even consider treating other coexisting facial dermatological issues. This is not tailored therapy, it’s a scam. Faux dermatology.

Hi HW,
Thank you so much for reaching out and letting us know about your concerns! I’m sorry to hear that you are feeling frustrated with your experience at Curology. Let's see if we can clarify a few things for you.
First, you mentioned that you were not connected with an actual dermatologist. We do not claim that each member is treated by a dermatologist. Rather, every Curology member is partnered with a dermatology provider - a board-certified physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner. They have all trained extensively in dermatology and work closely alongside our dermatologists in the office.
Second, you mentioned that we do not treat dermatological issues other than acne. Please know that we only treat acne and anti-concerns at this time. We do not claim to treat other skin conditions. Our telemedicine practice has its limits, and it is not possible to evaluate skin and be able to make an accurate diagnosis in every situation. Our dermatology providers can often provide general information about other skin conditions, but we do not diagnose or treat them.
That said, if you do not want to continue with Curology, we completely understand, and you may be better served by an in-person dermatologist. If you need help finding an in-person dermatologist, you can ask your primary care physician or other local healthcare provider for a recommendation, or visit the American Academy of Dermatology site: https://www.aad.org/find-a-derm. We only want what’s best for you!
We hope you find that information helpful! Please message your Curology provider if you'd like to discuss this in more detail. 💜

Great!
I don't have super terrible acne, but it was bad enough for me to seek out anything I could find. Drug store face wash and face care just wasn't cutting it for me--but honestly, even after a week of Curology, pimples that would normally take a month to go away go away and start disappearing after a couple of days. Applying and caring for your face as directed by your provider is so so important when it comes to Curology, and so is knowing your skin. If Curology doesn't work for you, either you have no idea what is going on with your skin or you need a real dermatologist. Thank you Curology!
