My overall experience was decent. The facility was clean and secure, and the move-out process was straightforward. The main frustration was the short-notice rate increase and lack of flexibility after being told support would be available. Clearer communication would have made a big difference.

This is an unsafe terrible place! Do not trust them! My son got a unit at cube self storage on West Hillsboro blvd in Coconut Creek about 4 months ago. The staff is terrible!!! They are useless idiots. Since he got the unit, which is in a shaded spot, the light did not work and was hanging by UNSAFE wires. My son reported it to the the useless staff at the opening of the unit. She said she would take care of it and be in touch with him. She did nothing! Then I went in there and spoke to them! They were both there. They said they would call us to meet the person to fix it asap! Its been a few months and nothing was done and no call to repair has been made. THIS UNIT IS NOT EVEN USEABLE. THIS IS A NEGLAGENT FACILITY!!! STAFF IS BEYOND USLESS! The staff are terrible! They have the worst customer service! They just do NOT care at all! Cube Smart Self Storage located at 4801 Hillsboro Blvd your service is terrible and unsafe! This company cant even change a light bulb! They are useless! Do NOT trust anything that you consider the slightest bit valuable with them! They will let you down...guaranteed!!

I've been a CubeSmart tenant since they opened in Bethpage years ago I was one of the first to join I've since moved to a few different units downsizing as I go.. I've just completed another downsize October 2025 and the young lady in the office Nataly was so very helpful and knowledgeable and she completed the transaction perfectly.. I approached her she was busy with something else but she stopped what she was doing and spent 15 minutes showing me the new unit and completing the paperwork.. she's an excellent associate.. thank you Joe

have rented here for many years and everything was fine till recently. I showed up at 6PM on a Saturday during the middle of my move with a rented U-Haul, to find out they had closed down the whole place and locked it up for the weekend WITHOUT NOTICE. The little note that was left on the gate was all that was done. No calls to give us advance notice, no simple email, nothing. So here I sit with a rented truck that went to waste because not only were they not open at 6PM on a Saturday but also closed ALL of Sunday as well. For me to show up on Monday and there be a lock on my storage because I was a week late on my payment. I went in to the office to discuss this matter and of course she couldn't do a single thing for me. Yet if they would of given NOTICE to the breech in contract they were going to do I could of scheduled my move out accordingly. I have called corporate, I have called the district manager, I have sent email after email. And sadly, no response what so ever!!!!!! When I first came to this storage, they had cameras up and truly cared for their customers. They also used to have affordable rates. Since then my rate has tripled, cameras have been taken down and simply no respect at all for the customers. Not to include the insurance they make you pay for every month is worthless and just a gimmick. Their "insurance" company is owned by a sister company of cubesmart and unless a nuclear bomb goes off or zombie apocalypse happens will they cover anything. So go elsewhere when renting a storage. This place sucks!!

A Complete Disaster If you value your belongings and expect even a shred of customer service, RUN—don’t walk—away from CubeSmart. Our experience at the Warrensville Heights, OH location has been nothing short of a nightmare. My husband and I rented a 10x25 outdoor unit at this location in September 2024, and in February we discovered our worst fears: water, ice, and slush covering the floor of our unit and ruining our belongings. Cardboard boxes soaked through. Art and personal items warped and destroyed. A leaking roof and faulty door allowed snow and rain to pour in, and it had clearly been happening for some time. When I called the office, no one answered—even though it was during business hours. I left a message and eventually found an employee outside. Instead of offering help, this employee had the audacity to shrug and say, “You don’t have our insurance, so I can’t help you.” Are you kidding me? Forget basic human decency—CubeSmart won’t even take responsibility for their own faulty unit! We reached out to management, only to be met with cold indifference and zero accountability. The manager outright refused to speak with me because my name isn’t on the contract, even though we both share and pay for the unit. What kind of ridiculous policy is that? To make matters worse, the official line we’ve been fed is that CubeSmart is not responsible for damage caused by leaks and poor maintenance unless we have their insurance. This is a clear and intentional evasion of responsibility. We do have insurance, but that’s beside the point. This isn’t about insurance; it’s about a complete failure on CubeSmart’s part to provide a secure storage space, which is literally the only service they are supposed to offer. Instead, we were ignored, dismissed, and left to deal with the destruction of our belongings on our own. CubeSmart’s Warrensville Heights location is a textbook example of how NOT to run a business. Zero accountability, incompetent staff, and a manager who refuses to engage with customers or take responsibility for the state of her facility. If you want to store your belongings in a leaking, poorly maintained box with absolutely no help when things go wrong, then by all means, rent here. But if you care about your property and expect basic customer service, find literally any other storage company. We’ll never use CubeSmart again, and we’ll be warning everyone we know to avoid them like the plague.

IF YOU STORE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE, THEY MAY BE STOLEN. I had two units in opposite sides of the storage facility. They both were broken into. I spoke with other tenants whose units were also broken into. One of my units was broken into twice because management refused to fix the holes the walls that the thieves punched through to get to several units in a row. I eventually moved everything to another facility nearby. I sent a letter to the facility and the corporate office and neither responded.

Cube. Smart I paid for air-conditioned storage. Been there 2 weeks and no air-conditioning. Clothes filled with mold. Metal furniture rusted. No security no cameras nobody on site in the night or Sunday. Increase the price all the time. Manager said corporate dictates to maintain 80 F temperature. This temperature is ideal for mold growth

Great place to store items. Customer service is top notch.
